With any politician that made a Memorial Day parade a place to politic, very untackful.. Incumbents do have benefts, being in office, I understand them in it, they are in it EVERY year, but the rest SHAME on you. The parade was not the time or the place.

Who showed up in the parade? I didn't get to make it myself... Is it possible they are also veterans? I know Tony was in Vietnam.... Was he there?

Howdy every one
I was asked by several people if I was going to be in the Memorial Day Parade, I talked to several Veterans on how they felt about me being a candidate and being in the Parade, also talked to the veterans office to get their thoughts, all of the veterans that I talked to had no problem with it, If I offended any one I APOLOGIZE to you.
Thanks
Gene Nelson

That's what I like about Gene Nelson, he's not afraid to say I APOLOGIZE. Most of the others would refuse to say that.

I have no problem with any candidate riding in a parade, especially if they were a Vietnam vetrean. The fact is all candidates have limited media support due to Liemar and his long lost son Norman. None of the candidates were hounding anyone for votes but just trying to have a presence. From what I saw, they were received fairly well, especially all of the challengers.

I will not list names nor was I using it to put down certain canidates or any canidates, heck I even excluded incumbents and I can't stand Lamar. Gene, please do not think I was singling you out, I did not know you were in it. I just feel that it is not a place for any politicians (as politicians campaigning), my thoughts and my thoughts only. I was pretty tough in my post, tougher then I meant to come across, I think. If others are comfortable with it, that is fine. Just seeing my 82 your old uncle in there, who is a vet, the day after the 2 year anniversary of a dear friend of mine that died for serving this country, and being a disabled vet myself, I have strong views. Montana I do not hold war time vets to different standards, having family that served in all the wars, having lost loved ones in Iraq, I can not put them below or above a Vietnam Vet. Riding in a parade out of respect of what it is in honor of is one thing, vote for me on a vehicle is another. Saying a politician should not ride in a parade is not what I am saying, I feel that if they are in a parade it should not be as a politician, but as a vet, or respect for the ones who have fought for our freedom. A little example..... If a church was in there or hey UCB (since they were) yes it was plain as day who they are, but they honored the meaning of Memorial Day.
So to Gene, I have respect for you. I hope you were not thinking I was being ugly, it was not my intent. I guess what I am trying to say is when you guys are going to be in there, maybe do a little moe then drive a truck that says vote for so and so. Gene and maybe you did, as I said I did not even know you were in it.
