Where or who puts on the best Fireworks show in the surrounding areas?I was thinking about hitting the mountains to check out the show,if I can find a room this late.We have been staying at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Blue Ridge when we come up for a couple days visit,I'm hoping they might have a room left.

There's no way I would even try to get into Stone Mt. Park during the 4th.We always found a good spot on a side road to view it from.

Wish I could help you, Cabin, but I'll be down here - On St.Simons Island watching the fireworks being shot off from the pier where you not only get the display in the air, but the reflection in the ocean. Simply beautiful -

The bridge over in Hiawassee is kewl to watch fireworks from, & last year we sat across from Meeks at the Sr. center & watched right there.

If your ever in the Gulfshores area, they drag a barge off the main beach and shoot them till you get tired of watching. I have never seen a display that long. Like Taylor says, over the water is different to enhances it with the reflections.
Mobile also shoots them off from the Battleship Alabama across the bay.
Meeks park is pretty good too.
