I got my grocery shop done and was home by 9:30 this morning. I love it when it is nice and slow in the store!!

Left here about 1:00 and headed to the river. We had been there about an hour when it started raining with a little thunder & lightening. Luckily, I had already got some sun and that felt SO good!  So, off we go to the truck for a late "gourmet" lunch in the rain consisting of saltine crackers, vienna sausage, a handful of corn nuts and some banana chips for dessert. Rain stopped, so back to fishing. Got rained on several times, but as long as there was no lightening, we just stayed out & got soaked! Mama always said I didn't have sense enough to get out of the rain - I guess she was right. My wonderful husband even smooched me in the rain!  End of day - all catfish - me 6, him 2. Just got out of the shower and I'm sitting here sipping on some coffee and he's cleaning the fish. Guess what's for supper tomorrow? Days like today always let me know how lucky I am to have a husband that enjoys so many of the things I do, one that doesn't think I'm nuts for fishing in the rain, and one that will clean the fish even though I out fished him and never grumble about it.  |

posted under Mountain FLing that part of today adn under 5th Sunday Nigth singing that part of the day. So you will have to go there and read.
Swung by the gathering for a brief visit and met several more politicians who were there to meet and greet. Lot's of new faces and familiar faces, but all friendly faces. No time to eat but I didi get to chat briefly. We have a lot of great people in this area.
Got to meet Mr. Knight for the first time, he look's like a big ol' teddy bear and seems to be a nice feller.
One candidate wasn't there but his relative came by and asked me who I was voting for. How presumptious. I replied to them with a big grin "You want me to tell you what you want to hear or you want me to tell you the truth?" WE both played it off. Politicks makes folks nervous.
The kids were swiming in the lake and having a big time. Babe had a new feller there, didn't have time to quiz him and ask him a bunch of nosy questions, but he passed my quick inspection.
Nat's husband looked dapper in his plantation hat, very summer in the country.
Coosa's husband was dressed up and looked rather handsome.
2C's main squeeze always has a smile and everybody loved his t-shirt. 2C's also has a handsome son, according to lilred, but his sister disagrees.
Tessa husband is a great guy and get's along with everyone.
Radar was there and I think the guys had a better time than their wives did.
All my BBB's were there and looking sweet as ever.
Sorry I couldn't stay longer.

And the weather was perfect too. Nice cool breeze blowing across the lake, kids swimming & yelling gleefully and far enough away from the adults that they didn't get on our nerves.  I was so fearful that the predicted storms would come in and spoil our fun. As it turned out, we had a very large crowd, plenty of good food and fun. Thanks Babe for all your hard work in prepairing this. Tell the grillmaster thanks for the burgers & dogs. |

BEE!!!!!! Babe did NOT have a new feller there. Babe invited a grillmaster. That's it, nothing more. Yes Bee, Babe was more interested in my hubby. For some reason she said he was so handsome. Guess I'm used to him. |

I left my camera at home so Babe wouldn't take my picture. Wait till you come up again and see Bee. She is really toning up and is looking hot. This was a perfect spot for a gathering and would be perfect for a large family reunion too. Very private and clean. Sorry you couldn't be with us Tulip.  |

We did have a great time!! I wish more of you had joined us. Today I am doing one of my favorite things, playing bridge at my house. Lots of sweets!!
