What a crock of crap Blue Ridge was today.I had read on the Chamber of Commerce that there was suppose to be a parade with a marching band(which there was) but it also said arts and crafts,food,games,music.I was expecting there to be vendors booths but there was nothing.We were really looking forward to it.We printed out what the Chamber of Commerce page said and took it up to the Chamber and the lady up there was surprised and knew nothing about it.We were mislead in believing that there was something going on in town.Anyways we decided to go eat lunch then go ride around the Aska area and look around.We are about to head out to Ducktown they are suppose to be having a Miner’s Homecoming Independence Day Concert & Street Party tonight at 7pm,but we are waiting to find out if this going on before we jump in the truck and head down there. After being disappointed with Blue Ridge Saturday,we decided to check out Ducktowns Miner’s Homecoming Independence Day Concert & Street Party Saturday night.I will leave it at,"It wasn't what we expected".We hung around for about 30 minutes.I did have quite a few of the local women staring and smiling at me.I don't know why maybe they were drunk ;D. We left Blue Ridge today and headed home.We had bought a chicken at Ingles to eat on last night and had some left over,so we decided to pull into Meeks Park to have a quick little picnic.After that I wanted to see where Mike's was for future dining and I guess I found where Babe worked as well.All in All it was a fairly good weekend,we really did enjoy the fireworks show that Meeks Park put on. Hey Coosa,we saw a yellow Corvette at Blimpies.I don't know if it was yours or not. |

You should have stopped in and said Hey Cabin. I was there about all day long. I'm sorry your trip wasnt up to par. Maybe next time, skip Blue Ridge and Ducktown and stick with Blairsville. Would you have sold me 200 bucks worth of groceries for 50 bucks? ;D The trip wasn't really bad,just being in the mountains is plenty enough for me. |

Nat Nat, there is no rest for the wicked! Have to go to work tomorrow, unless Mr Nat wants to hire me! I do have 9 years experience in the building industry! Anyways, will be back up sometime soon and we will do lunch, so just hang onto those cookbooks and that will be our excuse to get together, like we need one! ;D
