Opposition to Iraq War Hits 68% in U.S.Two-thirds of American adults are disappointed with the coalition effort, according to a poll by Opinion Research Corporation released by CNN. 68 per cent of respondents oppose the United States war in Iraq. Posted Jul 8, 2008 08:41 AM PST Category: IRAQ If this is true, why are we still there???Apparently, voting to give the democrats control in the last election, with their promised withdrawal, meant absolutely nothing. Congress has stopped listening to the American people completely. And to whom do they listen? To the wealthy contributors who make up their base; the oil companies, defense industry people, the hired mercenary companies poised literally to make a killing off of this war. Our kids are fighting, getting maimed and dying in Iraq so that the profits of these companies will continue. Is the funding for these wars without end killing our economy? Yes. But congress doesn't care; many of them are, in fact, very heavily invested in the companies which are profiting from these wars, and are doing quite handsomely economically. www.angus-reid.com/polls/view/31178

NANCEY, in my opinion of course, an't worth the powder it would take to shoot her. She is blocking prosecution of Rove and impeachment proceedings.
I think Ron Paul speaks the truth.

Such a pity the poor and the ignorant are allowed to vote!!!! They may well elect our next president, should that happen...just can't go there. Because of the nature of a democracy and the freedom issue (letting non-taxpayers, non land owners, non contributers vote), the average life span of a democratic nation is low. Blame the people. We do have government by the people and many are a-- w-----.
