This should be interesting. Everyone write down a little known fact about yourself. We will learn more about each other.

My dad was a police officer and he was assigned to guard Soupy Sales when I was in grade school. I got to sit on his lap in his dressing room. I loved him but he had on so much makeup that he frightened me.

I went to 18 different schools from 1st grade to graduation. I started school and finished school in the same town!
Had to add this just for fun - Can you figure this one out? Concerning my first husband - I legally married him once, legally divorced him twice!

Concerning my first husband - I legally married him once, legally divorced him twice! Was one of those a common law divorce? Freaky and cool about your school history. I bet all of those changes were tough.

I too am very claustrophobic. The girls I work with know not to get me in a tight spot. I will go right over them. It is a big joke on one hand, but on the other they don't get me in a tight.

Taylor, ya got me on that one! Just the weird way the law works sometimes - We were legally married in August 1985. I legally divorced him in March 1990. Due to circumstances beyond my control and too lengthy to explain here, I moved back in in June 1990. I left him in October 2002. By this time, the old "common law" marriage was no longer recognized in Georgia, but, found out that we were kind of "grandfathered" in. So, I had to go through another legal divorce! Married once, divorced twice! Freaky and cool about your school history. I bet all of those changes were tough. My dad was in the military. In between transfers, I started 1st grade here. In the middle of the year, we transferred to Texas. So it went throughout my school years. When daddy was overseas, we often came home, so back to school here, then when daddy would come back stateside, I'd switch again! When daddy retired, we moved back home permanently so I managed to graduate here. Yes, some of the changes were tough, more especially after I got into upper elementary and middle school. When you're little, it seems you adjust faster. After I got a bit older, friends began to mean more and I hated losing them. It was often hard adjusting to new schools because usually, by the time I got there, everyone already had their friends and "cliques" established. Also, I never really seemed to fit. When I went to school up north, I was called hick, rebel, cracker, you name it. After adjusting to the north and we'd move back south, the kids called me a yankee! I wasn't the "girly-girl" type, so I didn't really get along with other girls, and the boys just didn't understand me! The difference in curriculum's was also a problem - In Ohio, they refused to accept the grades I had from my last school because it "didn't fit into our method of teaching". Huh? So, I had basically "failed" before I even got started in their eyes. Yet, when we left Ohio and went to California, I was tested and placed in an "accelerated, high ability" class! Yes, it was tough at times, but the travels across the country and the things I got to see and do combined with the exposure to so many different types of people, climates, foods, speech patterns, etc. was quite the education!

School can be trying for some at best. I'm happy that you could see the silver lining and benefit from your experiences.
