Gene, Mr C and I met you twice in the same week when we were up over the 4th and were really impressed with you. You had our support, just sad that we couldn't vote and make that difference. Great campaign you ran. God Bless you and your family!

A word of advice Gene. You may be a great guy but you'll never win an election with your good ole boy, down home, pray for me routine. That will no longer go over in Union County. maybe 20 years ago but not now.

Bluemoon - Why did you go back and edit your post? I read it before you went back and changed it. Sounded too much like Norman and Lamar did ya? Don't put it up if you have to go back and edit it before everyone reads it and sees what type of person will mouth off that kind of crap. Just like the paper...

That will no longer go over in Union County. maybe 20 years ago but not now. Are you the one in control??? I think that God still has the power to put a good ole boy who is a down home praying man in office. Oh I should add HONEST!!! A Godly man. Gene all who know you, know that you would have made a great commish. Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise. Now you won't have to deal directly with all the lying, cheating, and stealing that has been recently established.

Howdy Yall bluemoon, you sound like some one else on the form that tries to turn every thing into something negative, I feel sorry for you, that you have to always say something negative to or about someone. Does this make you feel good about your self? If it does please do so and continue to do so, maybe it will help your self confidence problem. I will continue to PRAY for you and maybe, you will grow up and have a better outlook on life. And bluemoon I might be as you say,a good ole boy, down home, and ask people to pray for me, and I will continue to do so, but I am Man enough to put my real name on what I wright. the question is bluemoon are you? I might have lost the primary, but I came out of this a better Man, just from all of the great people that I met during my campaign, whether they voted for me or not. Thank You Gene Nelson

It makes you want to go hummmmm.... Gene, I'm sure your heart is in the right place and you didn't run for Commissioner just because you and Lamar got into a fuss about you keeping a piece of equipment for over two years, as Lamar hinted in the NGN. I understand you wanted to charge the tax payers big bucks for the "repairs", too. But I didn't have all the facts, so I don't know. If you want to explain, feel free. But why are you fussing on Blue, now? That don't sound very Christ like what you were jawing about to Moon to me. Bluemoon, for what it's worth, you hit the nail on the head. I think a lot of other people were put off by this "pray for me, the LORD told me to run, and no substance campaign nonsense of the challengers. By Gene lashing out at you like he did, it seems Gene can't take constructive criticism. Well, that's his problem. So don't feel blue fer what he was jawing about. Let me put this more succinctly and plainly for that old boy Gene, so hopefully, even he can understand what you wuz saying to him. Blue's and my point is this: The demographics of UC are a-changing and politicking is a-changing, too. Here is a case in point: After the primary, I asked someone who 'ain't from around here' what they thought about Lamar getting the democratic nomination. The comment was, "That's a no brainier...you couldn't expect Goober and Goober to win." So, be careful who you criticize, Brother Gene. We ain't in Mayberry no more. Guess what! The rest of the voters just ain't as nice as me and Blue is. We're just trying to help Gene by giving him some unsolicited, yet friendly and sound advice and youins saw the thanks he gives to moon and probably he will be a judg'in me too. I rec'in he don't appreciate our advice one little bit. The other voters just told him his campaign sucked when they hit them little squares on the Diebold machines. He won't hear from them, again. No, he just wants to judge Blue for his'uns God Given opinion of freedom of speech. Did not our Savior tell us to judge not, least ye be judged? Well, we judged you Genie. Sorrdy... So, Gene do some of that High Power praying for me, too. I will shore will return the favor and I dearly appreach any of them prayers you can send up to heaven. However, me and the Almighty talk too and HE didn't tell me to vote for you. I apologizes if I mistook the small still voice of the Holy Ghost. And while you are at it, put ALL THE REST OF VOTERS of Union County who didn't vote for you on your prayer list, too. It seems to me, it will be a mighty long list. Apparently, they didn't listen very much to you either. Just remember the words of an old college professor..."You can pray it so. You can wish it so. If it ain't meant to be, it won't be so." So don't stress over it, brother Gene. Life goes on. Also, brother, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO MAN UP and Google on the Constitution of the United States of America and the Amendments there of... Using screen names protects our right to privacy and free speech. Meditate and PRAY that fer a while, bubba boy. Let me know if the LORD don't agree with me and I will pray about it some more.

Gene--A job well done and pleasing to the Lord.
For those who have read "Pilgrim's Progress", you will recognize that Gene was "Christian", walking among the corruption of politics.

""GENE'S CAMPAIGN SUCKED. THAT'S WHY HE didn't WIN our votes. GOT IT, BUBBA boy""
The "informed" know that hell would freeze over b-4 you would ever deny your commisar.
We also know that like "Lamar", you slander good men for evil purposes.
