Gene had class unlike Manape. Better to lose than lose all morals as happened to Lamar. It is true neither Gene or Tony were nearly as shrewd as Lamar.

Hey Norm, I mean apeboy, I heard that Lamar is playing a round of gold today and needs for you to be his caddy. You'd better bring an umbrella to hold over him in case it rains. If you hurry you might make it up to the world famous in time to have breakfast with him, but more than likely he'll want you to sit in the corner by yourself like usual.

Bubba, I have slandered no one. I have only said the politics of yesterday don't work today because the demographics of Union County are different than when half of the county was related to the other half of the county. I've only said the commish wannabes acted like Goobers and that is the truth; it is not slander. If they didn't want people to think of them as Gomer Pile or his cousin Goober... then don't act like you are running for commissioner of Mayberry County. Life goes on.
Goober and Goober had their day of fame and I commend them for trying. Hey, it's not my money they wasted on signs and it helped someone who sold them the signs, I'm sure. They can waste it any way they please. I'm still not sure why I should say THANK YOU. Well, Thanks for nothing.
So, norm is apeboy. Is that supposed to degrade apes or something? This thread get stranger and stranger.

I wouldn't be so certain about winning. This is not the movies. I can only tell you who wins after the battle. I know it won't be Gene, Tony, or Justin. They are history. Thanks for trying boys but your campaigns strategy sucked. It's your own fault! What were your thinking?

Those three did better than you would have, Ape. But, you'd never be brave enough to run. All you know how to do is talk and talk and quote a dead Chinese General endlessly all the time acting like you are wise.
Think how many more votes Lamar would have gotten if he didn't have you for a cheerleader.
