I was very fortunate to meet most all of the top people in drag racing when I lived in AZ. Wow, there is nothing like being there on the starting line!! I'm so very proud of Tony S., I know he's going to miss Alan Johnson next year. Can't wait to see Alan's new program, I'm very proud to say I've known him and his family since they were in alcohol cars, Blaine included!!(Blaine was killed in a crash that resulted in the first reconfiguration of all the tracks.) Anyone else share my passion for the sport?

ana, I was lucky enough to go to Charlotte this April and drive a NASCAR 8 laps by myself under the lights, it was one of the highlights of my life!! I've got the pictures and dvd to prove it!! I was hoping to go faster than I did , but I guess I did okay, look out next time though!!

Well, how fast did you go? I think just climbing into one of those cars would be great, let alone getting to drive one. What a thrill! ;D

ana, it was sooo awsome, I'm a fairly short person, getting in the car was to say the least a chore, then getting enoung padding behind me so I could clutch, hard for me, amusing for the bystanders!! My two fastest lasps were at 140mph/average. By the time you get comfortable with the speed and the car, it's time to slow down. I really want to do it again at another banked track!! If you ever get the chance take it, if nothing else do the ride a-long, you go with a pro and they do the speed!!

Oh! Don't worry if I ever get the chance, I will be all over it. Well after driving at 140 mph would you consider it a sport? BTW- My all time favorite bumper sticker reads "I'm not speeding, I'm practicing for qualifying" That is how I broke my sway bar.

ana, your are a girl after my own heart!! 140 was the average speed for the mile track so in some places I was going slower and others faster, I really did love the faster!!
