Ok lilred has asked for an I-phone. I experienced one today and it was awesome.
I also found out about the Asus EEE, it's a pocketbook sized computer that is basically a internet computer.
So very popular they can't keep them in stock, however it is Linux based, from what I read.
So who on here had an I-phone and is it worth it???

My sister used her American Express points & got the I-phone FREE!! It's the coolest thing ever. You can put your address in & then google earth the location. Turn the phone sideways & it knows you've done it & turns with you. WILD! She's got her i-tunes on the phone too. I'm not sure of the cost right now of them, but in NO WAY is my child having a better cell phone than mine!! LOL She wants one too, but I told her she'd have to make straight A's for the rest of the year. So far, it's just A's & B's. Or, if she scored a goal in soccer, which is over & she didn't.
We're getting a puppy for x-mas for them.

$399.95
Thought I could use my Discover card points but SHarper Image doesn't have them, still checking.
If she makes straight A's until graduation she will get a i-phone. If she doesn't she goes back to Blairsville public school next year becuse I can't afford to pay her to goof off at scholl.

Okay, we did it. Can't believe it, but big girl is getting a "PINK" razor phone. Ended up being free after the rebate & free activation because I upgraded hubby's phone the same day. Now, I have to find a contract for her to sign to behave!!!

I've got a pink RAZR and I totally could not afford it, then I got me a diamond bling cover for it, so I don't ever scratch it, so if I want to switch I can resell it.
My Sister is richer than me, via mommy and daddy and she's got the I-phone, I'm a tad jealous, but she uses her phone and mine just sits there unless hubby or bugger calls. No one else ever calls me. My Sister adores her I Phone.

He lives in Atlanta so the FM radio will work for him down there, not like up here. Got lilred a PS2 game. Can't post it cause she might up and read this.

QueenBee, I'm not sure how old your lilred is, but I noticed you saying she hunted. If she is anything like I was, having her own hunting equipment would be a great idea. If she has her own rifle/shotgun, then it opens some more possibilities - a nice gun case - the heavy plastic kind with the padded inside and a lock, or a cleaning kit If she just borrows a firearm from dad, some hunting clothes, boots, hats, ect. I still have the case for my .410 that daddy gave me when I was 9 - Christmas 1973!
Even though she hunts, she may also appreciate a few "girly" things like jewelry, bath kits, ect. Us redneck girls do like to dress up every now and again!
Sonny said to tell you that if she is over the age of 3, she needs at least a .22 rifle and a .410 shotgun!
It's good to know that there are still those that carry on the tradition of hunting by teaching and including their children. It's even better when that child is a girl.

Thanks for the input Taylor, get's me to thinking in a different direction.
She has a .410 her dad got her but prefers hunting with her crossbow. We looked at new bow's at Bass Pro and she decided to wait. Some friends of our's offered to work with her and give her some lessons so I make make her up a gift certificate so that she can start bow hunting with a little more knowledge. She has camo, boots and outerwear.
She does like a little bit girly, but not much. She briefly played with dolls when she was small but she hasn't had any "toy's" in years. I will be getting her some gift certificates for a manicure and a pedicure, she loves that.
I may also get her unlimited text messaging EEEKKK!!!
Her birthday is saturday and I am taking her and a friend to the 2 hour Fun World special and she is getting a portable hand held personal dvd player.
A .22 is lurking in the back of my mind.

I really like the Winchester model 94-22 lever action. They are pretty easy to handle, easy to load, and easy to carry. Also, HENRY has a couple of nice ones..... either way, I just like the levers. With someone new them, they are safer IMO - they don't fire as quick as a semi-auto as each shot has to be levered, yet they are faster than a bolt action.
