GENE NELSON' ENDORSEMENT OF COOK FOR COMMISSIONER

To the people of Union County, Again I would like to thank each and everyone of you that voted and supported me during the July primary. November is fast approaching and it is time to cast your vote on who will be our County Commissioner for the next four years, I ask you to take a very long hard look at each candidate, and ask yourself who is going to look after our tax dollars during the hard times that we are facing. Mr. Paris said at the
splost meeting that giving a million dollars’ for the property next to Meeks Park is a good deal, the County Accessory Value of this property is $284,825.00 . If the property is worth one million dollars , why is it not accessed at one million dollars so the county could be getting the taxes from it. It would be nice to have the property, but is giving over three times its accessed value a good deal? And who is getting the good deal? This is just
one of several things that we need to consider when voting for the next Commissioner for Union County; this is why I would like to take this time to endorse Harold Cook for County Commissioner. I believe that Mr. Cook is the best choice for the people of Union County. I feel that Mr. Cook would manage our tax dollars better, especially during this time of hardship and
would make decisions that would benefit all the people of Union County the most. I urge every one to support and vote for Mr. Cook in the November election. Remember we need a Commissioner that is for the people. Don’t forget you can vote early.
I would also encourage each and every one to say a sincere prayer for all of our elected officials from our local officials to the president.

I hope that everyone who voted for Gene in the primary heeds his advice and votes for Cook, we cannot afford four more years of Lamar Paris! And thank you Gene for doing the right thing.
