This was mentioned in a post months ago but I noticed the problem still hasn't been corrected. At the entrance to Meeks Park there is a sign that mentions the ball "feilds". This is an embarrassment to the citizens of this county and needs to be corrected. One could wonder if a certain newspaper editor has a side job of proofreading the county road signs before they are installed? ;D

Now reckon who did that? Seems like something I my fingers may have done. LOL! My brain does a good job spelling, but something gets lost on the trip from my brain to my finger tips! LOL! Perhaps it might get changed if someone calls the park director or Lamar himself?

As an engineering friend who happened to be from England said, "It takes a narrow mind to spell a word only one way." Perhaps, the sign will get changed soon. I hate to see my buddy Shortcircut blow a fuse.
What I hate is the signs where words are misspelled deliberately, ie: Kountry Kitchen. Thank God for spel checker. Now, if I jus kuld just fanger out how to use it.

I'm in agreement with you there ape, it makes it even worse when young children ask why the words were spelled wrong.
