Finally went wireless at home, and now I am wondering why I waited so long.
It's nice to sit on the couch and type and post while watching TV without being tied to a desk.
Cinch to hook up to my laptop and it is working great.

I joined the wireless crowd not too long ago myself, it's nice to not trip over cat 5 cable everytime I walk from one room to another.

tulip - it wasn't just the dsl!! My dial-up was out as well. At first I thought something was wrong with my computer - it's been know to go beyond virus's & spiders - it has things like monkeys, poodles, whooping cough, hiccups and wart hogs! When I finally figured out it wasn't my computer, I tried for almost 2 hours to get through to AT&T - "We're sorry, but all circuits are busy now. Please try your call again later. click" I finally went to bed and gave up!

I was online some as well. Every time I tried to open a new window, I kept getting the "server not found" error page. Sometimes, if I hit "try again" or "refresh", it would connect to the page, but mostly just the server not found page

I don't have any idea what you all are talking about. I went wireless many, many years ago when I quit wearing a bra!

True, I have too many electronics. We didn't have ANY electronics growing up, not even a remote control. I think we all turned out just fine.I remember when cell phones were huge phones carried around in cases on your shoulder.
I think of all my home electronics the one I would miss the most would be my MP3 player, I get the most enjoyment out of it. Of course you have to have a computer to load it.
But it would be the last thing I would give up.

It took me years to get use to a remote! I have not even figured out the cd player yet, I have only used it once.

Tulip it is well worth it, no doubt. I just recommend getting a good pair of earphones. I like the one's with the rubber tips that fit down in your ears. They are comfortable and don't hurt. I just returned a pair of the BOSE earphones I purchased they didn't offer any better sound than the ones that came with my satellite receiver and I love those.
Grumpy doesn't like a lot of what we listen to and like I have said 100's of times I love my books. The 1G ones are so cheap now and the 2G are not much higher.
Lilred uses her's at night when she goes to sleep so we don't have to hear her radio or cd blaring.

You have to be careful out in public because sometimes you just want to dance or sing out loud and not realize where you are.
To me an Ipod is just more expensive for the same results. If you don't plan on using all of the features they have, then why invest in one.
I went online to Amazon.com and just read reader reviews on items before I made my purchase elsewhere. The reviews on Amazon have guided me several times into better purchases than what I would have made without them.
