Because I am pre-menopausal. I have my soy milk twice a day for hot flashes and calcium and other stuff. And the herbs help my mood swings and fluctuations in my hormone levels. I have been going through this on and off for about 4 years but they seem to be getting more serious. I will not take HRT because of the side effects, I try to use herbal alternatives. Coosa you told us before you never had any issues like that so you don't understand. I believe you are the first woman I have talked to at our age or older who never suffered from hormone fluctuations. But I can sympathize with the women that do. I can sympathize with you and them too!

One time around midnight grumpy came out on the front porch and asked me what I thought I was doing. I was laying on the porch in my bloomers and t-shirt dying of a hot flash. He took one look at my wet head and the look on my face and said "never mind".
It is just like standing over a heat vent in the floor and feeling the heat envelope you. Mine tend to happen at night more so than during the day. In cold weather I sleep in layers, it's easier to remove layers then to search around in the dark for lighter sleeping clothes. Then you cool off and you are freezing again and the sweat pant and long sleeved shirts go back on.

We have a banty hen sitting on a nest of about 10 eggs, I have no idea how she is managing to cover them all up with her little self.
You can take and pull an egg out from under her and she will peck you and then take and roll it back underneath her for safekeeping.
It's funny.
Maybe Cubby can bring her boy's over when they hatch.

I wonder why they are worse at night? Maybe because your body is at rest or something? I do know that the soy milk helps, I will stand by that no matter what the FDA say's.

Bee, I never had that problem either and I thought I was the only one. I have plenty of other problems to make up for it though, so don't tell me I'm lucky. I'm nuts, nuts, nuts!

No, you are right, I never had any symptoms of menopause! Maybe I haven't gone thru it yet!! Ha, ha!! Remember Archie Bunker when Edith was going thru menopause. He said, I will give you 10 minutes to go thru that!!

There are different signs of it, night sweats and irritibility are the most common complaints.
