Spring is like a miracle season. I can get more joy and satisfaction out of my gardens than anything else.
Anyone here ever have something come up and you can't remember where it came from or when it was planted?
How about not weeding because you can't tell if it's a plant or an weed?

Yep, sometimes it is hard to tell the plants from the weeds.

YEA!!!! Re-Queening is over. Finally got it finished, however splits are still taking place.
Grumpy sold 2 splits and said he was using it to buy Mother's Day gifts for me. Ain't that the sweetest thing?
Tulip Poplars are in full bloom. How could something that looks so beautiful make you so miserable? But the bee's love it. They were working those trees over, late into the evening yesterday.
We will probably put pollen traps on this year, just to have fresh pollen to sell.
Got to get busy melting bee's wax for a couple of upcoming shows.

The queens have been released, some are laying away, some have disappeared and some were killed by the hive.
Pollen is really high and the bees are working like crazy. We are probably going to put on at least one pollen trap.
Wildflower honey will be abundant this year. yippee!
We have supers on most of our hives and as soon as we can verify the queens are doing their job then more supers can be put on.
Work, Work, Work. Everyday after work.
Hopefully after I check around 17 hives tonight for laying queens and queen cells I can get busy at home melting wax and making soap.
I am behind ya'll, I tell you, I am behind.

Ok you avocado experts, I need some splainin. I have 3 plants, just how tall are they gonna get? The one in the kitchen window will soon be taller than the window itself. The one at work seems to be 8 inches tall and growing. They have little tiny leaves on the very end of them. The second one at home is slowly sprouting from between the put halves.

OK so we don't have avocado's up here, who'da thunk.
When the strong winds and cool weather is over I will repot them outside and see what happens.
grumble, grumble, you would have thought someone would have mentioned it to me when I was trying to get them sprouted. gee whiz people.
