Those Dandy Pots are cute, have you ever used one of those? No, but I have several in my cart. I wanted to match them up with the various violet colors, but now am wondering if I should stick with one color. I want to order some of the true blue plants.

WELL, here I am, finally. Had to run errands in town today and went by Home Depot and cruised the garden department. Picked up a bag of potting soil, 2 kinds of leaf lettuce and some onion plants. Grabbed a seed pack of mixed greens also. Gonna poke holes in the bag of potting soil and poke my plants down in it. Grumpy is going to build me a box so I can move it qround until I get the perfect place for it.
Did some "organic gardening" today. Raked all of the leaves out of the flower beds then carried load after load after load of fertilizer from th e chicken/rabbit pen and spread and watered it. MAking sure thr beds look nice and neat. Found some Hosta's poking through and got a glimpse of some mint and a Bleeding Heart, YEA!!
Got my yard raked from the leaves and twigs, cleaned out under the shed and moved 2 of my plastic chairs back to the front yard.
Boy I am tired but it's a good kind of tired.
HERE'S SOME HUMOR: as I was finishing up, putting up the water hose lilred said her leg's were sore from the soccer game yesterday and changing gears on her 4-wheeler. I told her I doubted if the gear changing had much to do with it, but wasn't she pleased with our work. She said "Yes, but my lower legs hurt and the upper part on my leg's hurt, you know my thighroids."

When I left for work this morning my flowers looked so pretty and neat.
I am anxious to get my lettuce and onions in the dirt.
Raking the leaves out of the flower beds gave me a chance to peek at what's pushing through. If you don't garden then it's hard to understand.
The flower bed along the edge of the trailer I am putting off working on. Grumpy is getting us a new porch, hooray!, so as those little plants push through I will be digging them up and transplanting them.
IF BOO DOESN'T BEAT ME TO IT.
He likes to dig and if I can just get him to do it in a straight row, I can put him to work in the veggie garden.

DIY Seed Spreader
An empty seasoning/spice jar with a plastic lid that has large holes in it makes a perfect tool for broadcasting seeds in the garden. Tops with 1/4-inch holes are perfect for small to medium-size round seeds such as poppies, radishes, onions and members of the cabbage family.

Well there was a heavy frost on my lettuce this morning, hmmmmm.
But everything look's and feels like Spring.
With the weird weather anticipated this weekend, I am glad I cover my plants in organics to protect them.
It's hard to believe that at the bottom of the mountain it's a whole different climate.
