Did anybody notice Norm's whining about the fort in his junk paper last week? It's obvious that one of his buddies is a member of the jaycees and Norm is helping him out. They (the jaycees) want Liemar to ban other people from selling goods in parking lots and on the road sides during their festival. I suppose this would include yard sales, etc. Why are the jaycees the only people who are allowed to benefit from the festival? If they would use the energy that they waste whining and change some things around and do a little maintenance the sorghum festival might have a chance at survival. I haven't been there in ten years because it's the same ole thing year after year. Harold Cook wanted to move the fort out hwy 515 outside of town but the whiners wouldn't hear of it. So what if people who own property near the fort charge people to park on it, it's their dam property they can do whatever they want with it! Does anyone know who actually owns the property that the fort is on? I'm wondering if the jaycees own it or if it belongs to the county?
