A friend of mine said that there has been a bad car accident involving one of our fire/rescue vehicles. The car is a red crown vic with the fire/rescue logos on it. It and another car collided near Ware Chevrolet earlier this evening around 2 pm. I have seen a couple of young firefighters driving the car before. My friend said the car was completely smashed in the front end. I hope and pray that everyone involved is okay.

Fire fighter Anthony Olsen was the driver. He had a cracked sterum and broke finger on left hand. Also some stitches in finger on left hand, a few contusions. He's up and about but sore. His partner in the passenger seat, don't know his name but his wife works in the 911 center, had a cracked sternum, bruised spleen and lots of brusies and contusions around the hip area and torso, I think he got the worse of it but understand he's ok. Someone in a suv pulled right out in front of them from Kelly dr on 515. They are ok also.

WHEW! close call.
They probably won't feel the soreness until a couple of day's.
Glad they are OK!
