I think the cold would be worse tulip. Many years ago I was out on a long walk and came within 100 feet of a bear, I think it was more startled than I was. Needless to say we both took off running in opposite directions.

I use to always walk with Lucy when I lived over on the river. There were lots of bears there in the woods and I figured Lucy would scare the bear off. I guess the ladies will not be able to have a campfire!

Needless to say we both took off running in opposite directions. LOL! I would have liked to see that. I walked up on one several years ago and it started toward me and I picked up a rock and threw it and it took off running. Thank goodness!

They smell so badly. I use to walk in the woods a lot and I could tell a bear had just been there. My neighbor shot and killed a bear that was getting into her hives.

That whole "i've figured out who you posters are..." sounds like the old lady on Wizard of Oz saying, "I'll get you & your little dog too". Who cares who everyone is?? I have different screen names for other forums, just like this one. It's all good, okay?? ****. You use to be so much nicer to people. What has happened to you? Coosa. You have already invited me to your party and I'll be there. I tellyou who I am that night. My dears. You read into what others write even when what your write can be so offensive sometimes. You have no idea what my tone was. Honeybee, you said people don't understand you is that something reserved just for you? I won't be back. See you at the party. And, I still am nice to people. If you re-read my statement, you'd see where I said, "SOUNDS LIKE". Didn't accuse you of saying it THAT way. Now, if someone wants to twist words up like a good game of twister, than do it. If you want to get definsive, I'm sorry you feel that way. Using my name? What's that going to do?? You'll be at the party?? I really will come now and we will sit down and have a chat, face to face & know that I'm not harming you in any way or being mean, or to me I don't even think I'm coming across as mean. Like I also stated, "it's all good". Let it be, okay??

Ahh, as you can tell, I'm back from the hiking trip. Had a wonderful time with the 4 other gals that went. We ranged from age 24-51. Everyone got along and we set our own pace to hike, but that 24 year old just left us in the dust at times!! Beautiful weather, too. We did only do about 13 miles because my sister had run into some female problems and didn't bring enough equipment with her. We also had a tough time getting water, especially the last part of where we were. It's great to hike out there, which I have been doing, but when you have a 30# pack on, it can be brutal! We'd started off with 22 # , but after food & water are added and other stuff... Hubby & "Cola Monkey" (trail name & gal who went with us) went through our packs to tell us what we would need and what was luxuary (didn't need). Well, who would have thought that deoderant was a luxuary item?? Jeez!! I'm happy with what we did do, but would still like to do the rest another time. I may wait for warmer weather. That will help keep the weight down in the pack.

Me too, we worried about you the whole time. Guess you didn't freeze! Hey, 13 miles is quite a trip. Did you hike in and then back or have someone pick you up at the other end of the trail??

No, Maddy is too kewl for fireworks!! I am hoping that we can have a little fire out on the back deck where the bar is going to me. We have a lot of smokers and they are going to have to stay outside. I remember being a smoker and having to smoke outside at my office.(I meant to say, stay outside to smoke, like at honeybear's)
