I heard that Hiawassee & Blue Ridge are getting a Publix, & Blue Ridge was getting a Cracker Barrell. I don't believe that one, but Publix....hmmmmmm!!!! ;D I'll have to ask my friend who's hubby is a big dude at Publix if that's true.
Heard that Lowes has bought & pulled permits to the location across from the Citgo at Hwy 64. Lot's going on...

Wish we could get a Publix in Blairsville! Never ate at a Cracker Barrell so don't know anything about them. I like Lowe's better than Home Depot.

SR, do you do a lot of traveling? Cracker Barrels are at many of the intersections on Interstates.

I can't afford Cracker Barrel, but the buffet at Shoney's is really good.
Sounds like more traffic and cell phones to things I do not like!!!!

Shoney's is ok in a pinch (nothing else close by when traveling). The food and service at CB are very good for the price. Not five star, but still, very good. Can't say that for Shoney's. They used to be good, but that was a LONG time ago!

OK Someone, either you didn't go to bed last night or you were an early riser this morning. I thought I was the only one up in the entire United States of Blairsville last night, guess not.

Actually I wasn't up at the time the date/time stamp shows. Seems that Admin may have not reset the system clock after the OLD daylight savings time rolled around this past Sunday.
The stamp for this post shows about 10:10 when it is actually closer to 11:10 (or so)

I wonder if the new restaurant next to bi lo is open yet? Looks like they will only be serving lunch there. It is surprising to me how many people in this town go out to lunch everyday.

Maybe it's a "social" thing. When you work, have kids, etc., sometimes "lunch" is the only time you have to socialize with friends.
