Would you like to see in Blairsville.. not WALMART cause Lord knows we have enough WALMART threads already.lol!

But if you were to be able to start a business.. what would you do?

I would think that business would be good for;

A pancake house that is in town that offers COUNTRY style breakfast from like 6am till 3pm.. More like an IHOP

Daycare Centers.. we do not have enough in our area
I still think the old Ingles would make a great one and offer 24 hr services/7 days a week.. sign in basis offered as well.. like the ones in ATL..

A huge skating rink would go nicely up at the old factory or in one of the old factorys.. re condition the cement floors..

Hobby Lobby.. WITH HOBBY LOBBY PRICES.. Not extra charges because its either pay this or drive to pay that..

Dance Hall.. with all of the classes offered up here now to learn to dance, why not? Have big band nights, country nights.. certain nights for certain music to dance to!

I'm all for the IHOP idea. It's impossible to find a place for breakfast that isn't crowded or you don't have to wait for 30 minutes in the drive thru. Prominent Local Swindlers have stopped alot of growth from coming here, unless they personally benefit from it.

I'll be glad to see the new Fatz cafe open next to CVS, now if we could just get a place that serves a good breakfast.

I like the Dance Hall idea. If you make DANCE HALL a big enough deal, turn it into something like a "tradition", keep it consistenly fun, and promote it broadly, some folks might even drive up from Atlanta for the experience. But it would take a new building of some sort.

I'd also like to see a Woodstock-type event held someplace in the mountains each year.

A dance hall would be nice. Just keep it decent and have bouncers to get rid of the people who want to get drunk and start fights. Anyone remember what used to go on at Dixie Bo's, where Bills roller rink used to be?

Yep, our newest chain restuarant. When was the last chain restuarant that came here to this fast growing county? The Waffle House almost two years ago. And who owns it? And who owns the property where the new restuarant is being built?
