What's good? What's not so good?

I like the Huddle House, Zaxbys, Papas Pizza, and Pretes Pizza. I occasionally like McD's, Wendys, and Golden Gate. I refuse to eat at Burger King ( I saw a guy there recently who obviously wasn't an employee behind the counter messing around with a female employee) and Downtown Pizza, unless they have changed they don't know what a mop and broom are used for.

You won't find much in the way of "fine" dining here. Some people rave about Cobb's Mill and it's okay. Shoebooties in Murphy is good.

I like Hole in the Wall, Riverwalk, Cook's Country Kitchen, Zaxby's, Wendy's, McDonald's, and KFC. Most of the really good ones are in Hiawassee and Murphy.

I like Cobb's Mill and Mike's seafood. The best place to eat is Shoebooties in Murphy.

One I don't like is the Cookie Jar. Been there twice. After not enjoying it much the first time, I thought I would give it another chance since it always looks like it is so busy. I thought the food tasted like institutional food, or straight from a can. I have had hospital food that tasted better. Won't go back again!

I'm neutral on the cookie jar. It's neither good not bad just okay. Tessa, my idea of "fine" dining is someplace like Red Lobster or Applebees.

I've been to the Cabin over in Blue Ridge - the first time, it seemed to have really good potential - the last time I went, well, it'll probably be the last time for a while.
Whose biscuits are better? Hole in the Wall or the Sawmill?

I think it has new owners voce liber, you're not the first person to say that it's not good anymore. I haven't been to Hole in the Wall in a long time but I love Sawmill's biscuits. Hughes Grocery used to sell them but I don't know if they still do or not.

Yes, Cobb's Mill has chicken tenders and good hamburgers. That is usually what I get every night. I agree with the Cookie jar. I ate there at lunch once and it was like eating in a high school cafeteria, it was so noisy!

I went to the Cabin last spring at it was pretty good, but I hear since they changed to buffet it has taken a real down-turn. Someone I know went and they were out of crab and the prime rib was running low, so they would only give a little slice. So much for all you can eat!

I don't like buffets. I worked in a restaurant and usually that food sits out all day. Does Muffys still have a good burger?
