I had the Cuban today and it was very good. Hubby had the Piggy Bowl and he said it was great. (White rice, black beans, roasted pork topped with pico de gallo & a piece of cuban bread.) Chicky Bowl is yellow rice, red beans, chicken stew, onion, peppers & potatoes with the Cuban bread. I might try the chicken next. It is all homemade food and they also serve breakfast. People are very nice.

They sell it at Bi-lo and Foodland. It has very good flavor but has too much fat for us. I wish they sold it in links. It's in bulk only.

Maddy, you could probably go lite on the rice and that would knock down the carbs some... the best part of it is the meat and the beans, anyway! Aren't beans considered "good" carbs?

Treetops Chevron on 76/Young Harris Hwy at Trackrock Gap Rd opened it's Hunt Brothers Pizza. They have thick & thin (my favorite) crust. It was pretty darned good and you need to give them a try if you are on the east side of town. Not to mention the owners are really nice people.

Nataliewood, you must show me how to do this stuff. Let's do dinner at Doyle's one evening.

doyle's is the best place for dinner in the tri-state area, in my humble opinion. As I have said over and over, why go out to eat if the food is from a can or box? It's fresh there.

I heard that it was very good but pretty expensive. What do ya'll think? We have talked about going, but have just never made it over there. I saw the review that David Sellers did a while back. It looked like a really nice place.
