After seeing the condition of the VA hospital in Atlanta my answer is a NO. Whatever govt agency is in charge of maintaining the place should be ashamed of themselves. I took a friend there once and struck up a conversation with a young man in the waiting room who was sweating profusely and obviously in pain, he was a veteran of Desert Storm. He was there because of severe stomach cramps and he told me that he had been waiting for over 5 hours to see a doctor. Our government and every US citizen should watch out for the interests of our veterans.

I agree that veterans do not get the benefits they deserve.To talk to the vets at the VA hospital is amazing.You do not meet people you were stationed with but all of us had the same training,shot the the same weapons,drove the same vehicles,learned to dismantle or destroy machines and then be a civilian in a different world.
I am interested in getting with the American Legion.
