An opinion please.......
Do you think that a spiritual person in the workplace is more ethical and trustworthy?
I don't know. I know that I try to be honest and ethical. I try to judge people by their actions and who they are and sometimes it confuses me.
What do ya'll think?

In most cases yes. We all make mistakes and go through trials but I have seen people who are only religious at church on sunday and then live like the devil himself for the rest of the week, those are the ones who don't exactly set a good example for others. One of my best friends in the whole world is a baptist preacher and I would trust him with my life. Another of my best friends is a non christian who will only occasionally talk about God or religion and I would trust him with my life also. I have found that you can spot a wolf in sheeps clothing pretty easily.

A Godly person will be usually. Not everyone who goes to church every sunday and does a lot of Christian things, is a good Christian. Non Christians can be very moral if they are raised right.

Very true Justin. I believe that there are people who have been in church every sunday who will wake up in hell someday because they never truly were changed. And there will be people who rarely went to church who will be in heaven simply because of the fact that some time during their life they accepted Christ.

Whether or not you are "religious" all the time - even- when no one is watching, depends entirely on which "god" you serve!
Ted Haggard's god wasn't big enough to keep him from sin. Jimmy Swaggart's god wasn't big enough to keep him from sin. Jim Baker's god wasn't big enough to keep him from sin/
There are many poor souls who live lives of shame and remorse because their "god" just keeps on letting them down!
Like my friend told the preacher's wife when they had slipped of to the Motel and she wanted to turn the light out. He said, "thats alright sugar, "God can see in the dark". That was far as it went. She made him take her home. I think he wished he hadn't said it.
There an't that many preachers who will preach the bible. This here is kinda what I think the bible says:
“Brethren I would not have you to be ignorant”. This kind power comes from the God you serve. Pastor Jimmy Swaggart didn’t have it! Ted Haggard, the big evangelical leader from Colorado didn’t have it! Tammy Fay’s first husband, Jim Baker, founder of the PTL TV show, didn’t have it! Can’t you see that these people had a form of godliness but they denied the power thereof? Can’t see that the statement, “By their fruits shall ye know them” was revealed by what they did in their lives?.
The Bible says, “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law” …Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God” 1 JOHN 3:4,9 Listen friend, has your preacher told you can’t quit sinning? Perhaps you should ask the preacher to explain these verses to you? Perhaps the god he is following is unable to keep him from falling?
Read that one more time, “for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God” Listen to me now, when you sin you need to ask yourself this question. What seed remains in you? Has your god let you down or, are you following the wrong god? Because, Listen to me now, there is only one God big enough to keep you from sin! As it is written, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23, 24

I work in a spiritual place. We "try" to begin every morning in prayer. Of course, we don't always get too. But we try too. We pray for our patients. And we hurt when they hurt or find out that there is cancer or a disease. It's hard not too. But of course we are human, we fall short but thankfully, we are forgiven. And I believe as long as their is sickness there will be prayer somewhere whether it's in a doctor's office or at home. When someone finds out that they have cancer it hits a place that you never thought you could actually feel. It's deeper than any heart ache or any pain you've ever felt. It's so inner that only the Lord can touch the anxiety and overwhelming fear. When I heard the diagnosis of Melanoma 2 years ago, I have not been the same as I was before. Life is too precious. Too sweet. Too ...it's too short to waste! Telling someone what the Lord has done for you is a testimony but living by it is more than a mouthful.

Excellent post lady, a close friend of mine who is now deceased used to tell me that anyone can claim to be a Christian, but SHOWING people that you are one is a different matter entirely. The more I think about it the more I know he was right. Even though we fall short we should still try our best. My job requires alot of interaction with people and I try to bring the subject of God up fairly regularly, I have had some very good conversations with people by doing so. And there ain't no politician or judge or whatever that will stop me from doing that! And sometime to answer your question, I sincerely hope so!

Being spiritual helps in dealing in moral, ethical, and values, but order is not kept in society by fear of God. It is maintained by social sanctions: concern for reputation, hope for reciprocation, fear of law and punishment. These sanctions work for the vast majority of people in almost all countries with functioning governments.

Like I always say, going to church don't make you no more a Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car.

Like I always say, going to church don't make you no more a Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car. Exactly. By spiritual... does someone who believes in God and treats others as they would wish to be treated, acts on opportunities to help others, and rejects the bible, koran, y ching, and religious superstition count?
