Butterfly gardening: anyone on here ever grow a butterfly garden? was it successful? was it fairly easy? any suggestions? Tulip I did it at the bottom 1/2 of my drive way and it was so successful that I would drive through flocks of them coming and going. It was such a thrill for me. There was a downside and my husband pointed this out. Their caterpillars stripped our trees, even my prized pin oak down to the twigs. A smaller one, away from any trees would have been better.

A few flowers here and there would be great but nat is right if it's to big then it causes damage.
You could do a butteryfly bush in one area, then some bee balm somewhere else then plant some coneflowers. That way the could flit from bush to bush and not lay butterfly eggs.
I am mailing my stuff to you today Tulip. I am so sorry, but there has been so much going on that I forget until it's too late, but I will do it today, I promise.

Great idea. Make some to sell at my booth, and I can put them on a Croc and hang it from the lattice. No charge cause you are my friend.

Tulip, too bad you aren't here.
You could come to the craft show next weekend and sit with me, then we could walk around and look at all the local talent we have.

OK let's get this topic crunk. We have some new posters and maybe they craft.
I started my Christmas project today.
YEP! I went into a new local Quilt/Craft store because they were interested in my honey and bought fat quarters to make gifts for the lilystixs. I am starting with pillows and going from there. of course their taste in fabric is different than mine so i am sure I will have to go back and buy more.
This little store in Peachtree is so cool. They are doing classes. They have pre-cut strips and squares that you can buy and the price is ridiculously low. That saves a huge amount of time for us lazy sewers.
For niece that is headed off to college I am doing a memory pillow case for her. They now have the fabric sheets with paper backing that go straight through the printer the you stitch them together. Going to do family photos for her.
If it works out well, I will be doing a memory quilt for the babies in Canada of all of the family.
How long 'til Christmas?
