That's right, me. NOT Justin.

As you can see, Justin and I look NOTHING alike.

I wear a mask. He does not.

I only appear in black & white. He is a virtual rainbow of colors.

I am dull and boring. He is witty and insightful.

So leave him alone! He is very busy becoming our next commissioner!

Many of you probably thought that our area just wasn't big enough to sustain many larger business chains right now.

Luckily Justin explained to you that they're not here because the internet isn't fast enough! But when he presses them to provide better service, all our economic woes will be fixed! Hallelujah! Wait. I've called Alltel to complain about service before, maybe I should run for commissioner after all!

And what chance will a sagging building industry stand against his plan to waive all permit and inspection fees for a year? Nevermind the overinflated cost of homes in this area or the fact that people can't sell their homes in other places to be able to move here. Those problems will be overwhelmed by his package of incentives. Once those fees are waved it will be like throwing gasoline, no, dynamite, on an ember!

In fact, it sounds like ALL fees will be waved for a year. That's a good plan. I'm sure those fees are never put to a good use anyway. They probably go straight into Paris's pocket anyway.

Asking the banks to wave fees that "are large profit items" is an especially good idea! I hear banks don't care that much about, y'know, money, anyway. They're more er less nonprofit organizations anyway. Why didn't anyone think of this genius plan before?

I take heart! The dramatic music at the end of his campaign video was enough to convince me that a better day is about to dawn.

Now I must go to shout this good news from the Towns County line to the Fannin County line. From the Cherokee line to the White County line. From the top of Blood Mountain to the deepest depths of Lake Nottley.

Hang on Union County. HELP. IS. ON. THE. WAY.

Yeah, in all seriousness, I'm starting to just feel bad about this whole thing. Sitting here watching these videos and watching this campaign, it reminds me of some of the bad American Idol singers.

When they get on there I can't help thinking, were none of their friends or family members honest with them? Did none of them say, we're telling you this because we love you. "You are not good. Don't do this"

I feel like thats the case here. Where Republicans were just so desperate to make sure they had someone, anyone to give them a chance, even if its a snowballs chance in Hell, of beating Lamar. So desperate that they would let some clueless kid embarass himself.

Shame on them.

The sad part is, there's a very good chance he will be the Republican candidate and carry this thing all the way to November, cause it doesn't look like anyone else will run. Anyone who had an decency would tell him to just end this before it becomes a real embarassment.

But he probably thinks that even when he does lose miserably, he can use this to benefit himself down the road.

Just like when he talks about maintaining his values while in the world's largest Muslim country (when he was what, 8? how many times do you really have to stand up for your faith at that age).

Or like when he talks about become the sports editor at the sentinel. The sentinel had small stretches of being decent, but every time there was someone good there they always moved on pretty fast. I don't know if I'd crow about being the first sports editor there.

Its just a lot of BS. So I'm sure years down the road Justin may try to run for something else, somewhere else. And even if he only gets 4% of the vote in this election, he will talk about how he once ran a very spirited race and narrowly lost to a strong incumbent. And how that makes him qualified for whatever he's running for the next time.

It will be BS, just like what we're hearing now.

I have never said I have all the answers. I said I would seek the advice of many knowledgable people and set up volunteer committees to help form policy, if elected. And I would hire a qualified county administrator. In addition, a VERY qualified former county administrator has offered 6 months of his time to me pro bono if I get elected. I said, NO one man can know everything or have ALL of the answers. But you knew that already.

All I did was state my beliefs and what I feel I have to offer. You are acting like I am a terrible person just for running. I don't even know if the present commissioner is going to run for reelection. I can't imagine him wanting to serve another four years. But, he ran against and defeated an incumbent, himself. Did that make him a bad person?

It is clear from the selection of candidates that the negative Lamar crowd are desperate.No disrespect intended toward you Justin.I just think when you jump on their negative bandwagon,That you take on a losing battle and you get buried in their dirt . They do their name calling and slamming on this site and thats good and fine until somebody stands up to them. The negative Lamar crowd have their ideological agenda and have engaged in a radical smear campaign on this site to destroy the integrity of the people they disagree with. ScorpionKing, you are wise and what you say is true. That is why I have repeatedly asked people to not make nasty personal attacks against anyone as that goes against everything I am trying to do.

The answer to the above rhetorical question is that of course the Commisioner is not a bad person. And I will never say he is a bad person because I believe he is doing the best he can for the county, we just strongly disagree on what is best for the county.

The commissioner is using Union County for his gain. His "governmental" decisions are not for the better of the county. They are for his benefit
