There currently aren't any systems on the market that are better than the junky manipulation-friendly machines being used in California. Add to this the taboo topic: While you may be hearing about "hackers," which implies vote manipulation attacks by outsiders or voters, the real risk comes from INSIDERS. Nothing yet developed protects the voters from a single corrupt hand inside the process.[/size] And if we are forced to continue using the machines? That's a violation of our most fundamental civil rights. www.blackboxvoting.org/www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE1wQdCqrjE&eurl=www.blacklistednews.com/view.asp?ID=3340blackboxvoting.com/s9/

Donkphants control the whole process. Anyone challenging the system has to have a much people power as George Wallace, the kennedys or Martin Luther King. All these guys got shot! Because they had enough popular support to really make a difference!
Anybody who whips Liemar in a Union County election must have the support of the machine, Zigzag and all the head donkphants!

The voting counting debate will continue as long as there are dishonest politicians. Do you want to give them all a lie detector test?
The voting machines are not the problem. We had the same problems with the old machines. In the old days, the local farmers took shotguns to town and made sure the process was secure. One "honest and concerned" preacher even stood outside the old courthouse window and caught the votes being thrown out the window.
Look, all I'm saying is secure the voting process so politicians can't mess with it, let the local politicians present issues, and let the people choose.
Yes, politicians can mess with the Diebold machines, but I don't they are computer savvy enough to figure it out on their own. It takes the help of a programmer or computer hacker. I use hacker in the sense as it originally meant. Someone who is a computer expert and figures out how they work for the pure knowledge.

Under the circumstances you present. The voting is vanity!
