Very interesting article and I don't disagree at all. However, see the above quote from the article. It is much more likely to simply be human error than someone tampering with the machines.

THIS POST IS FOR ALL ASPIRING COMMISSIONER CANDIDATES OPPOSING THE CURRENT ONE:::

The commisar has got the people of Union County believing he has done a good job. The reason they believe this is because they are not informed. The reason they are not informed is because the local Paper is the mouthpiece of the commisar. Their only source of what's happening in the county is through this biased paper..HENCE ANY CANDIDATE MUST REACH THE VOTER DIRECTLY.

However, the commisar can be beaten by his track record of high taxes and fees. He can be beaten by his deception on this issue in regards to being honest with the voters. He can be beat in regards to denying the voters a say in County debt by creating his Corporation. He can be beat by his failure to implement his promises back in 2003 and 2004 on the current splost. He can be beat by his spending of $17 million of current splost money with no new services added or where most of the $17 million went.

If you want to be the next Commissioner, the above is where your best hope lies. You may have other reasons this commisar should be out of office. Put them forth before the voters.

Also you will need several dedicated supporters, one to do research, one to handle financial donations, one to manage the campaign, one who is knowledgeable in County affairs and the running of a County. and most of all an Advisor. On top of all this you need money. The current commisar is a millionaire and will freely spend.

The democratic candidates have a little less than 5 months, not much time to get organized.
The republican candidates will have the same amount of time.
