Roundtree will vote no November 6 and again and again and again . The crazy taxes has to stop and new leaders have to be put in place . We can not continue on this course . We do not have enough money . We are being taxed out of our homes and Lamar Paris and the school board and Tommy Stephens could care less . They all get their money off the backs of the working people while they set back and demand more . VOTE NO .

SPLOST (in general)
At the onset of this type of tax, we were told:
This is a one time only tax, just for this one particular project. It will only be for five (5) years and then it goes away. Well, we have had them for about twenty (20) years now.
If it doesn’t pass, property taxes will go up. More often than not, when we pass this tax, we are ambushed with another huge property tax anyway. And now it seems that our local School System is so bold that even after a huge increase in property tax last year, they now want this additional 1% more sales tax.
If passed, it will not exceed x amount of dollars. If that is collected prior to the end of the five (5) year term. It will stop immediately. Has anyone ever known it to end early?
This is not a new tax, merely a continuation of an existing tax. Wrong, its’ a new tax every time the voters pass it again.

We get to vote NO to Liemar next year oscar! Mr. Phantom needs to hurry up and come out of the woodwork and start cussing and discussing the issues with us. Short c , The man I know who has not announced as of yet will discuss but not cuss as far as I know . He is rational and does not fly off the handle or lose his temper . He will get the job done in a legal manner . He will announce soon .

Sales Tax I had to make a purchase today ($650.00-$700.00) at a local business which I will not identify, but this is a relatively large business for this area dealing in big ticket items. These are necessity items rather than luxury items. When I arrived, I was surprised to see that I was their only customer by 9AM. Usually, under normal economic times, there are at least a dozen people waiting or jobs in process. I talked to the owner about this. He stated that it had been slow all summer and business was off 30% throughout the summer. His summer sales were about the same as normal winter sales which are traditionally lower.
I am telling you this as first hand information that supports what bubbadebubba has been telling you for weeks. Sales are off and have been for quite a while, therefore, sales tax revenue is likewise off confirming that there will not be nearly enough revenue collected to pay for al of the School Systems wish list on today’s ballot.
I ask you to check around with local businesses and find out for yourself just how the local economy is doing. Remember, there is another SPLOST tax vote in Feb. Be knowledgeable before then so you can vote with facts rather than rhetoric that you may read locally.
Bubba for Commissioner in 08 Now there’s a name you can relate to.
Vote NO today!
