Folly #3-Lamar wants to buy 30 acres to add to meeks park for $1 million even though the land is worth maybe $150,000. There's a river on one side and a creek on another side and there's no access from the highway. How's he gonna get his bull-dozers in there. The man is full of folly!!

Folly #4-There are 50 cows to every horse in the county. He thinks the horses can outvote the cows.

#5 He thinks he can kick people around like dogs (sometimeman, are you listening?) and they will still support him. He will see that trying to use fear and intimidation to get people to let him have his way doesn't work.

Another Folly-The commisar thinks that throwing crumbs to the Suches community will suffice for the real meat and potatoes.

Another-Not counting Forest Service land; Local, State, and Federal government owns over 1,000 acres in the County. Nearly all this property would be classifed prime real estate and valued at over $100 million which means no taxes imposed on this property, which means you and me make up for that in our taxes. So the commisar now wants to get the best prime real estate in the County by swapping land with the Forest Service on 515. That land is the highest in the County. If the Bill Elliott property was worth $100,00 an acre in 2001, I would say 515 land is worth maybe $200,000 and acre today. so 25 acres X $200,000= what? So now the commisar wants to take another $5 million off the tax rolls. Make that $6 million, I left out the 30 acres he wants for meeks park.

Another Folly-The county already owns 34 acres across from meeks parks next to the Senior Center and North Ga Tech. The land has walking trails only. He wants to spends millions on buying 30 acres and playing big spender at tax payers expense. Why don't he use the 34 acres the county already owns and build his dream there? A lot cheaper for the tax-payer, but wait, that won't work for this commisar, he's gotta spend more money before it runs out.

Another Folly-The tactic he uses is "if the splost don't pass, I'm gonna raise your property taxes". the Mafia uses the same tactics except they shoot you in the leg. Shoot me in the leg commisar, but don't raise my taxes.

Liemar said that he wanted "the people" to vote on alcohol sales. He only brought the vote up because he knew that a resort that sells alcohol was looking at union county and he thought the measure would pass. When it didn't pass he said that was the end of the issue, there would be no alcohol sold in the county. Then he turned around and told the owners of the proposed resort that it would be okay for them to sell alcohol, in betrayal of the wishes of "the people". The world famous NGN hasn't printed nary another word about the resort, and the rumor is that the deal fell through. I'm not trying to debate the alcohol issue here, I personally couldn't care less if it is sold here or not, I'm just making a point about what a hypocrite our great and fearless leader is.
