Does anyone else see the irony here? Norm calls us undesirables for what we post here. But yet for some reason it's okay for him to come here and talk trash about Lamar's opposition. All that I can figure is that somebody must be afraid of losing the election. A man who has the nickname of "the poop scooper" has no place making fun of anyone's name IMO.

There there. By this time tomorrow it will all be over. The votes will be counted, the right candidates will be re-elected by the people of Union County, and those who aren't worthy can put these silly little pipe dreams aside, go back to their day jobs, and stop wasting people's time.
I can hear the excuses already.

I just cannot believe that the Republicans were so stupid as to nominate Harold again!!! I'd say about 500 Lamar hating Repubs voted in the Dem primary and their votes weren't even close to enough. Justin said Lamar couldn't be beat in a primary. He was right. Harold's faithful 500 that vote for him no matter what, showed up, but the rest of the Repubs, going for instant gratification left Justin hanging.
In the end, the GOP primary didn't hurt Gene and Tony the, Dem primary hurt Justin. In hindsight, I see that only a Repub could have beaten Lamar but not Harold. Harold will lose again. He only won because of the low turnout in the Repub primary.

Who said anything about support Lamar?! Those who voted for Harold were supporting Lamar. The Lamar camp feels that they have already won reelection. And your support of Harold seemed a little wavering when you were cheering for Gene. Deep down, you too know the Commissioner's office is a lost cause this time.

Did ya notice in the rag that Norm says that Harold won substantially over his unamed opponent while the GOP's sheriff race was "close" only there was very little difference in the margins for the two races.
So, Harold what are you going to do differently than you have done the last two elections. Clearly we see that Lamar has significant support.

Well, he got way more than 75 votes like ironman predicted, so that's all that counts. Justin knew that the crossover voters would kill him, but he never discouraged anyone from doing it. Even so, he exceeded expectations among the Democrats as many complimented him last night and even told him to stay at it.
For Justin to have won, he would have had to say a negative word about Harold, something he was unwilling to do. This is remarkable in light of the fact that Harold treated him rather coldly throughout. Moreover, Justin worked for Harold in the 2004 race and Harold has interacted with him dozens of times. And yet Harold told people this time that he didn't know Melick at all and he thought he was just another transplant.
This is insight as a friend of the Melick family. But I do not discourage anyone from voting for Harold. He can't do worse then last time afterall, can he?
