Now I wish I had planted a garden, it's probably been 10 years since I've had one. There are lots of blackberries growing around the house, I'm craving blackberry pie!

Make a blackberry cobbler, it's faster, or just pick some, wash them off, throw them in a plastic container and put them in the freezer. When you want some just shake them up and get out what you need.
I am glad that I have blueberries left over from last year, there won't be any this year.
I am growing my first zucchini, yea! I will process them and freeze them for zucchini bread this winter.

One of my friends brought me a big box full of squash awhile ago. I know what I'm having for supper tomorrow night!

One of the reasons I love summertime so much is having fresh from the garden veggies. Everything from a garden just tastes so much better. Canned 5 quarts of blackberries and over a dozen cans of green beans.

Those who like squash year round. This is a simple thing to do. Fried your squash. Wrap it up in tin foil. Freeze it. And put all the tinfoiled squash in a freezer bag. During the winter, taken what ever you want out of the freezer bag. That is still wrapped in tinfoil. Put it in the oven to bake and it tastes just like its been freshly fried. No squash waste. And a taste of summer in the wintertime.

Fern, good suggestion. I'm wondering if the same process will work with fried green tomatos.
