The Murphy Rib Country is better than Bville imo. Last visit did try Popies and it was better than Rib Country. We had the ribs and pulled pork, felt that the ribs were a little salty for our taste and next time I order the pulled pork, I will ask for sauce on the side. I prefer to sauce it myself, cause I like to taste the smoky meat. Oh, and I liked the fries and onion rings too.
People say that Bubba's has good bbq. Love the slaw dog and stew.

Finally made it to Hole in the Wall for breakfast, and I will have to admit, it wasn't as good as I thought/hoped/heard it was. It was good, but I guess my expectations were way up. It was kinda busy in there, had to remind the waitress about the cream for my coffee, Mr C ordered 2 biscuits and gravy, only got one, but charged for 2. I ordered the country scramble(?) scrambled with cheese, sausage, shrooms, it was good, but the grits tasted like they were quick cooking. Overall it was okay, but Been there, done that, just didn't buy the tshirt.

Has anyone tried the new place in Murphy - I think it's called Chops? Is it just lunch?

It's downtown I think. I understand it to be really good food - great chef from a big city. I'm a little concerned about our friend Doyle who has Doyle's and also maybe Shoebooties might suffer.

Well, maybe at first, but I bet after the new wears off it will get better. Many times people will flock to the new place, but will return to their old tried and true favorite places.
