We forget the main topic here, the sorry paper and the sorry editor who has wedded himself to the commisar.
The posters of this forum know when coon-man posts cause it's so obvious. He always tries to deflect the subject away from his sorry paper. I expect West has had a talking to him like a parent to a naughty child; and in the case of the coon-man it's a losing proposition for West cause coon-man is determined to support the twisting of actual events.
The posters know when ape posts; not because he uses his login, but because his posts never reflect common sense and truth.
Could ape and coon-man be bedfellows? Do they attract the same type of flea? Does common sense leave a person when they cross the Union County line? Do we need to put a fence around Union County to keep the confused of our society out? If so, can we put the confused ape and coon-man and the NGN outside the fence?
If you answer yes to the above, Union County could become the best County in Georgia to live in again.

Manape, you are better than most. We can work with you. Officially I am not a Republican and am one of the many local dems who voted against Lamar, but I will try to lighten up. You are not mean spirited like Taboo, so I will laugh at your jokes.
You are right Bubba, Norm is the subject not the sharp tongued, smart mouthed Taboo who hurts her own cause.

After reading th latest edition of the fish wrapper we thought we had better warn the LWV how our county operates so we sent the national orginazation thiss following message.
Although the North Georgia News accepted your generous add they turned around and trashed your efforts on the front page of the same paper your add appeared in, guaranteeing the forum’s failure, Welcome to the kingdom of the sole Commissioner and total control of the news through the NGN. The NGN and the commissioner have trashed all the candidates they don’t want, thoroughly in there bias news and can not take a chance a debate would change anyone’s mind. We live in a county where we are denied the legislative government guaranteed by our constitution. We have the executive and judicial represented but with a sole person governing us we in effect have a dictator in power. Only nine counties in the US have a sole governing authority and Georgia has all of them. We will never have fair elections unless someone corrects this and your honorable organization is just wasting your time and money. Laurie Boyer

I read the insidious article by the sorry editor of the sorry NGN about the candidate forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters.
First off, the writing was awful, the quotes were unsubstantiated because not a single person by name was quoted and the conclusions were wrong. The sorry writer wants people to believe his sorry paper is the voice of the community with sorry articles like this.
The NGN is nothing more than an insidious sorry excuse for a newspaper which keeps a dark cloud over the good people of Union County.
#1-Union County does not have a functioning Union County League of Women's Voters, but there are many women who want to be involved and asked for assistance from the Towns county League which has a functioning League of Women Voters, (This is the only part of the sorry article which is right, but coonman has mis-quoted and, as usual by the NGN, is intentionally insidious and inaccurate).
The sorry insidious article goes on to say 5 candidates will not be there but which means 3 will be. The sorry article does a dis-service to the voters of Union County by not mentioning by name those attending and those not attending.
Bottom line-The article is a sorry report by a sorry reporter for a sorry paper which gives no useful information at all.
The only redeeming part of the article is the revelation that 5 candidates are afraid to face the voters.
I will be there.

West said in regards to the debacle of the Bell letter, the NGN recieved his letter before they received Harolds ad for publication and that no one had access to the ad.
Well, I've got a question for Mr West of the sorry NGN. If no one has access to ads before publication why then did your sorry editor have access to the ad placed by the League of Womens Voters in the same edition of the same sorry paper??
Your paper does a dis-service to Union County mr. west and you should be ashamed, you owe the citizens of Union County an apology.

On the LWV forum, nc contacted an intern in Atlanta, got the answer he wanted and went with that as his story. When a true representative of the organization tried to contact him, he did not return her calls. surprise,suprise, suprise as Gomer Pyle would say, come to think of it he sounds like some of our local "big shots". The big is not implying greatness of character or integrity!
For whatever reason, the person in charge of booking the Old Courthouse, informed a rep from the LWV today, in a most ill mannered way, that the booking was off.
The forum will go on, it will still be on October 14th 6-8pm, but at the Civic Center.
Please pass the information on, it should be an informative evening.

You are so close minded and of such narrow focus that I can only feel sorry for you. Perhaps with more education you can learn tolerance and acceptance of other's opinions and ideas. If you find the writing's here so offensive, you have FREEDOM of choice, simply don't come here and go somewhere else. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best.

This is standard operating procedure for the commisar and his buds; twist arms, make threats and intimidate people. And if that don't work run an insidious article by an insidious writer in the mouthpiece of the commisar.
