Here is the latest on Tom as of Monday 7 July 2008, 8:00PM
Still stable, in a coma. He is breathing on his own, We have started doing physical therapy with him.
Maxillofacial surgery is still scheduled for Wednesday, late afternoon. That's all I can say right now.

Everyday he will get a bit stronger. Most people think coma patients just wake up one day and start life all over again just like in the movies. This is just not so. A coma is a healing process for the brain. Hopefully it will be able to repair and he will begin to wake up.

Nurse stated late last night or early this AM that Tom opened his eyes. We have not witnessed this yet....!!!! this is exciting news.....
Maxillofacial surgery is still on for tomorrow.

Jennifer,
Thanks for the update I check here frequently for updates. Everyone I speak with about Tom is praying for him. We really appreciate all of the updates. I know that prayer is the most important thing we can do for him right now. Just having current and accurate information is wonderful when going to the Lord in prayer. I know the Lord knows better that the doctors or the family Tom's current state and we do not need to tell him. Prayer warriors just like to be armed accurately when going to the Lord.

TOM IS OUT OF SURGERY AND ALL WENT WELL.... PRAISE THE LORD..... HE DID NOT HAVE TO GO BACK INTO ICU. THE FAMILY WAS GETTING READY TO GO IN AND SEE HIM...

The only news I have as of now is still in a coma and still in critical condition. i will try to find out more today...

Spent time Tom today, still stable, still in a coma, breathing on his own. He had his right eye lid open from time to time today, not sure if he can see or not but it gave us more hope and made everyone feel good. He reacts to pain in ways. Right now it's healing and rehabilitation time. He's makes progress everyday.
