This week the race is located dead center of redneck country, Watkins Glen New York. This is a 2.45 mile road course with 11 turns.
Kyle Bush is pole sitting with Jr. on the outside. Carl Edwards is third and Jimmie Johnson 4th. Tony Stewart in the top ten, starting at number nine.
Let's Go Racin!!!! ;D
Major challenge for all the crews this week as the pits are backwards to the usual pits. Everyone will be watching to see if this will be a factor.

Ana- Watkins Glen NY is not Redneck Country. I am not sure why you would even think that. It is a beautiful area with beautiful people. Located on the end of Seneca lake in Upstate NY. Grape vineyards and Wineries surround the lakes there.Tourism is very strong. I am from that area. Lived there all my life until the move here.

Sorry Mom. I was being sarcastic. My post was in reference to previous post about NASCAR racing. I think that Watkins Glen is an awesome place. The point I was trying to make was that if NASCAR was a merely a redneck sport they wouldn't be racin in the BIG NY. ;D Sorry if I offended you.

I assumed you were jokin' around Do you like NASCAR? We have only been interested in it for the past couple of years since our children has grown up and are no longer playing ball. It is pretty cool when you learn more about everything that the do. I had a cousin/friend that was part of Bill Elliot's pit crew. Unfortunately he was killed a good number of years ago. That is part of the reason I respect the sport. Split second decisions resulting in life altering actions. Pretty significant!

Jimmie Johnson is sitting on the pole for the Pepsi 500 in Fontana. Johnson posted a speed of 180.397 mph! Bush and Edwards were both placed on a 6 week probation for their post race actions last week.

Got busy and missed the race anyway! GRRR! Jimmie Johnson held off Tony Stewart to take the checkered flag. Unfortunately for Kasey Kahne he didn't make the chase.
The next few races will be a battle for the championship. Let's go racin' boys!

Well Gregg Biffle won his first race of the season yesterday. J Johnson came in second. Kyle Bush's sway bar woes shook up the standings a bit moving Carl Edwards up to first and Jimmie Johnson to second. Bush looses seven positions falling to #8.

Awesome race yesterday at the Monster Mile! Wonder what the next few races will hold for Kyle Busch? The first two races of the chase have proving to be disappointing for him. After a quite season Greg Biffle is making some noise.
