Maybe if we keep it up here it will not turn into a war. Shh it is our secret spot. So lets talk about Palin. I feel VERY bad for her as a mom because any of us could face teen pregnancy if we have children. That 17 year old is being judged by everyone in America. So far I do like her.
Now did MaCain know when he chose her?

McCain must have known; if not, then Palin is not the woman I thought she was - meaning - that would not be a fair thing to keep undisclosed.
we just dealt with teen pregnancy in our family.
I think promoting it like the younger Spears girl is wrong; hopefully Palin will not let her daughter be in the positive spotlight over the issue.

NO MEN ALLOWED! ;D I think that she may actually be a good thing. I have only heard about her and things that she has said to this point, so I reserve final judgment. I am certain that she told McCain! How could she not? Anyone seeking any public position much less the VP of the US is scrutinized to the ninth degree. Also you know that his staff picked apart all of the potential VP's on the short list. So yes, McCain knew all about it and agreed to proceed with her as his choice. As for Palin and her family situation, I think that they are making a very noble choice. I strive to obey the Ten Commandments. Since one of those is thou shalt not kill, I am pro-life. Making the decision to stand by your child during a trying and uncertain time in his/her life. Loving the child for who they are and supporting them through the trials they face is merely part of being a mother. This mother is making a real mother's choice. She is supporting and protecting her child.

I knew what you meant. One does deal with the trials and tribulations placed before us in life. I think when we are going through the trials of life we are "dealing" or "coping the best way that we can. Just think! Now you all get to deal with a new life and not a death. How wonderful is that?

I read a really good article today and yes McCain knew. I agree about Palin, people need to leave that situation alone. I figure the ones judging her are the ones that will deal with it next. She is a wise choice, Obama knows that so they are going to try to run her through the dirt.

What I do see is a strong woman with endless possibilities. She has already proven that she has no problem in fighting for what she thinks is right regardless of the party.
She has a family, including a special needs child and a 17 year old daughter that is pregnant. Kinda like a lot of real women in the world today. She is familiar with many of the same struggles us "regular" people go through.
She has a husband that supports her but doesn't seem to want the limelight for himself. We've already had too many political spouses trying to grandstand in the past.
I am also an avid outdoors person, a hunter and fisher. She is a supporter of gun rights and from what I have read is a lifetime member of the NRA. You have to admit that having pictures posted of hunts with the kills included is gutsy in today's society.
Her perceived lack of experience hopefully will bring a fresh set of eyes and ideas to the status quo way.
I'm not voting for McCain/Palin because he chose a woman. It makes no difference to me whether a person is male or female, it whether I think they can do the job. In this case, I think they can.
Add in the fact that McCain is the only one with any military experience. Regardless of how you feel about the current situation in Iraq/Iran/ Afghanistan, even if you feel Bush screwed up royally, it doesn't change the fact that the leader of the United States, the Commander of our military, should have at least some military background.
Many people are looking at McCain's age and wondering if she has the ability to step into the Presidency if something should happen to him. I think she'd do just fine.

I have never claimed to be either a Democrat nor a Republican. I have always voted according to my beliefs and how the candidate fit me personally.
Glad you liked what I said!
I will say this much, and truly hope I do not offend anyone - I would vote for Foghorn Leghorn and Daffy Duck before I'd cast a vote for Obama. He just scares me.

I agree with you as well, I guess I never had you in a certain party, but I did not see you going for McCain. Very happy you are and I look forward to your blogs as the upcoming election comes closer.
I had a black girl from Atlanta tell me that she thought Obama is the anti-christ, that was enough to scare the heck out of me.
