I totally agree too! I can't relate to Hillary - not at all - and I'm sure she has NO idea what we go through on a daily basis. But Sara Palin is someone who has been through many things I've been through and seems to be a REAL person. I think she can be the one who proves that the Republican party can go lean during tough times and not always be about pomp and circumstance.

I see in Sarah Palin a woman who is not in politics for the fame and glory, but someone who may just have the right ideas to make a difference and the guts to fight for them.
I see a woman who can understand what it feels like to try and juggle family and career. She seems to enjoy being a mother and a wife, yet still has enough common sense, guts and steadfastness to try and make her world a better place.
I see a woman who will definitely have struggles, hard knocks, extreme media scrutiny and naysayers at every turn, but who I feel has the ability to overcome them all.
I see a woman I can relate to on many levels - those that know me will also know what it means to me that she is pro-gun & pro-hunting.
I see a woman who will make a good addition to McCain as his Vice President. I also see a woman that could quite capably take over and lead this country should something happen to him.
I see a woman who may just be able to take the Democratic votes from the women who were planning on voting for Hillary. I surely hope so. I didn't like Hillary when she was president the first time! (LOL!)

I don't think many people did like her when she was president. She tried her best at the beginning of her campaign to be an earthy down home woman that real women could identify with. Obviously that quickly dissipated and she returned to that self elevated status the junior league. Fortunately for the nation McCain has made an excellent choice. The mere fact that she is pro family and pro hunting shot that ticket's chances of winning through the roof.

I keep missing the news but it looks like Oprah has rejected the option of having Palin on her show because she supports Obama. Evidently there is a group of women boycotting Oprah due to her decision. Several at work have stopped watching her because she denounced God? Now that's a really big? ?? WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS? ??

Oprah definitely thinks/knows of her power - look at what the beef industry did because her "power" caused them to lose business. They lost their court case, but Oprah can make or break a product with a sweep of the hand. I can't really understand it - I have only seen her show once or twice and I wasn't under her spell - didn't think anything bad - just wasn't into it enough to set the tivo..

I agree. I usually only watch it when I know that there are going to be "special" guests. Jenny Mc Carthy, Holly Pete, etc. I do like Dr. OZ though very intelligent man with one exception . I suppose everyone needs a vehicle to propel their platform. I think that she is too boastful

I like Dr. Oz too - he has his own show - or did - on one of the cable channels - what makes you about him? The poop? ;D

My is that he is likely under Oprah's direction. I think that Dr. Phil was in the beginning also, but not now. I like the way Dr. Oz wears his scrubs and doesn't put on airs with suits and ties.

I saw a bit of a news blurb that Oprah is now considering having Palin on the show.

I didn't watch all of the debate but I thought that Palin rocked. She seems to really have it together. I think she has great diplomacy.

She did do good, but I do not know if they can hold on. I am worried! Obama is not the guy, MCcain was not my first choice, but he is the better one. I just hope he holds on.

Crunch time! Tempers will flare and words will be flying like darts for the next few weeks. I hope McCain comes out on top, but at this point it is a big wait see. It appears to be very close this year. I hope that it is not another Bush/Gore/Florida situation.
