They keep saying Palin defeated the Good Ole Boy Network. I didn't know they had one in Alaska, but we could sure use her in Union County!

Every town, city, and organization has the "Network". It's name just varies from place to place and organization to organization. I would have thought that you guys would have been among the first to acknowledge that the network exist outside the deep south. Ya'll shock me.

McCain made a good decision picking Palin, she sure seems like she would be a good leader if need be. Then again people thought the same thing about Lamar Paris and look what happened there. Actions speak louder than words!

True-but the enamored will always be blind to the true character of a person. It's one reason fools fall for the con mans game and fools fall for the slick tongue politician.

Well, whatever you may think of the convention, one thing was made quite clear. This election the VP choice may indeed make a difference since the Republican VP Sarah Palin seems better qualified, more experienced and a better choice for the White House than the far-left's Presidential nominee.

This is true if you're using a Far-Right yard stick.

Not so, Soaks. The American people have rarely ever chosen a Senator for President. Two years as Governor is worth more than 8 years as Senator, much less Obama's two years, most of which he has spent campaigning.
Now I believe that one can be a good president without a lot of political experience beforehand, if you're smart enough. But, when Obama put down Palin's experience, a silly thing to do, he opened himself up to being beaten with the Far Right Yard Stick.

Obama's been the target of this Far-Right Yard Stick long before Palin was dumped on the national scene.

And he deserves it; 2 liberals in a pea pod makes a nasty soup.

Why isn't what you say spin? The attacks on Palin is the spin. When the GOP responded, the Obama camp didn't seem able to handle it. I see that a lot around here. People criticize others than when that person responds in kind, the original antogonizer pulls the woe is me card and says why are you attacking me! The only reason Guiliani and company made fun of Obama's community organizer experience is because Obama himself mocked Palin's experience as a Mayor of a small town.

Heck, I'm voting for Republican Sarah Palin for President and what's his name for VP. I think she has the boys for the top-job.
