The Bradford Pears are beautiful and look like snow.
Too bad Easter is early this year, the Dogwoods are always beautiful when they bloom and always seem much more special at Easter time. Or as lilred's school refers to it "Resurrection Day".
I have a big roll of plastic and if the "S" word is mentioned there will be a flurry of covering up flower beds at my house. I really missed my Bleeding Hearts last year.

Bee, just be careful if you use plastic... if it is left on once the sun comes up it can burn the plants! I learned the hard way in FL and after that I used blankets instead of plastic. You can use newspaper, too, if it isn't too windy.

That's a good thought becuase the plastic is black, eeek!
I do have lot's of newspaper because I haven't had a chance to go to the recycling center. Besides it would give the cat's something to read while they are using my flower bed as a litter box.

Bee, lol! Spencer cat tends to use Mr Cedars potted plants on the screen porch as a litter box too!

The dogwoods remind of splashes of pretty lace throughout the woods... never knew how pretty it was until I lived up here! I see there is STILL frost on some of the mountains this afternoon! The sun is so nice, but the wind is so biting!

To my mountain friends, from down here near the swamp -

Bee, I have no problem in keepin' the gators - the tail fries up quite nicely! The back strap makes beautiful medallions for grilled kabobs, and the rest makes for some great 'gator burgers!

I had fried gater tail when we went to At. Augustine and it was delicious.
Does the backstrap taste like chicken??

Bee,
I know everything is supposed to "taste like chicken" but not really in this case. The backstrap has a consistency sort of like a lean porch chop, but still has the slight fishy taste. The ground meat reminds me a bit of ground turkey but with a much better texture. Like in most cases, the wild meat taste quite a bit different than the farm raised gator.
