I have flies and those tiny ants. I call them sugar ant's. Got some Hot Shot spray and did the edges of my counters and windowsills and it helped a lot with the ants. I just spray it along the seams good and wait a few minutes and wash the counter tops down, so it has had time to sink into the edges.
The flies are still checking into the fly hotel and not checking out. But they must have laid eggs somewhere cause they are hundreds of tiny, tiny flies. They aren't just on the porch now, they are outside around the flower beds. Washed the front porch again last night and it seemed to calm them down. There is nothing there for them to be attracted to. I can't understand why they are there.

I've been keeping to myself so I don't get into trouble. and no Coosa, I do not like really hot weather. I heard this heat wave is on the way out. Sure hope so. Anybody having trouble with ants now? Got rid of the flys and now it's ants. Nat, I use Terrot Ant Poison. Just a drop on a small piece of cardboard and they all line up to eat it and take it back to their nest. I sprayed day before yesterday, inside and outside and they are back today. I think they are looking for moisture because it's so dry. Hubby just called and said in town he had a few drops. Ofcourse, it's because I got my car washed today.

Nat, go by Foodland and pick up the Terrot. It works. That is the best. I have been using it for years. At first, you will see what seems like a hundred ants, but they feed on it and take it back to the nest. Good stuff and no spraying. Thanks Babe for the reminder. Went to Foodland and bought 2 bottles. I forgot that one time a guy who used to be an exterminator told me that's all he used and then charged big bucks to the customer to put it out. Yes, I was watching a large parade of ants gorging on it and taking it back to their little club house.

OK BFF's We went into the honey house at 6:00 and just got out. Wanted to share with ya'll the first bottle of wildflower honey this year. The picture doesn't do it justice because of the lights reflecting on the plastic bottle.

It looks like Sourwood but taste like wildflower. We have to run it through a warming tank to thin it out so the motor can pump it and let me tell you that was as warm and smooth as melted butter.
UHM UHM GOOOOD!

I have about 52 gallons that can be anybody's if the price is right.
We pulled 52 gallons from 22 supers of honey, I still have 80+ supers left to pull and extract. Which will have to be pretty soon because Sourwood season starts in July. Using glass jars at the upcoming show but ordering plastic tomorrow.
Remember honey is considered a solid becuase of it's density, not a liquid.
