I want to hear from everyone somethimeman, I honestly want to know where each candidate stands when it comes to moving Union County ahead...I don't know who I am voting for as of yet and I want to make the right decision when I do vote. Isn't that what you want each voter to do also?

Sometimer, hanging would be a waste of good rope. The Republicans are so skeered, now, nobody will run for office. The Republicrats are so afraid they will get the same treatment when they can't deliver on "fair and minimum taxes", and "quality education and no child left behind". These seem like fair questions, pugs. I have been asking over 700 times since I joined the forum in January. Eddie says my questions and postings don't make any sense to him. I hope we get some answers before the election. Sometimer, please send me a 55-gallon drum of industrial strength Caster Oil. Don't send me anymore of that burnt motor oil like you did the last time. It wasn't dosage, it was just the wrong kind of oil. I don't want to harm anybody. I just want to cure their cognitive anal transference (CAT) disease. If only Freud had Caster Oil.

I'll vote for the one eye man. Lie-mar was reported to be seen walking beside a nude male who was inverted and walking on his hands. People were remarking, "the one eye man looks the best"
I'll vote for the one eye man even if he is a DEMOCRAT!

Guess Lamar is doing a pretty darn good job after all ;D I haven't heard one intelligent argument for a better candidate I guess there isn't one ...carry on gentlemen

Hey, pugs. You won't find any information here on this forum. I'm going to put a site together that will list candidates' platforms, issues, information links, events and unbiased interactions with candidates. Can you help with some research? I'm starting a list of information links. Here are a couple. www.ucdemocraticparty.org/www.gagop.org/default.asp?pt=doc&doc=why&np=300

Why I am a Republican I am a Republican Because...
I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person's dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.
I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.
I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.
I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.
I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.
I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.
I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.
I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.
FINALLY, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

Miss Puggy and Mister Ape- What ever form of government you have, a means of discipline must exist for Liar's and Thieves who get elected. The ballot box is not the only answer. You must have a "Jury" box. The Judiciary must enforce your laws against office holders.
Georgia's Judiciary is broken and does not function in this reguard

All comments welcome.

sometime, we get it...Lamar isn't your choice for the next Commissioner!! You have no ideal who you want to vote for...but you know it isn't Lamar...you have plenty of reasons for your choice, however you don't have a clue who you want to vote for. Yes I am a Ms., a lady that wants to make a positive difference in my community with my single vote, I don't want to be mean to anyone, I don't to trivialize anyone's opinion...I just want a positive view point on the up coming elections, I want to know where each candidate stands on issues...isn't that what a POLITICAL forum is for to inform the people so we can put the best candidate in office? manape I liked this title...the reason I started posting on this thread was the title, elections are like a job interview , people just have to stick to the topic, eliminate the drama and discuss only the issues!!

Pugs, this thread is a good place to discuss ideas and I will continue to post here. However, I'm not talking about a new thread on blairsvillecity.proboards.com. What I'm looking for is a domain name space, http://________________.proboards.com. It is very easy to do, I have access to a local web server, I'm a computer geek, and I can make it happen. The only thing is I'm pushed for time, like you are I'm sure. So, if I can get people like you involved in helping me get information, together, we can make it happen faster.

Pugs, my plan is to contact the local newspapers, Democrats, and Repuiblicans so we can try to get infomation from the source and not just the uninformed-biased opinions we get here.
There have been many people who have expressed opinions on the political forum, but they are immediately attacked by the bullies of the forum. They don't usually stay very long. I know this because, a lot of them have contacted me by email or PM and told me.

UNION COUNTY ISSUES AND ANSWERS.
ucissues&answers.com an educated voter is an empowered voter...good plan manape count me in. Hopefully this site will eliminate all the drama so legitimate candidates with a plan to move Union County in a positive direction can post their ideals.

Be careful pugs or sometimeman will accuse you of being a "Lamar Lover" as he has me. I do not accept what they say about him as true just because they say it. And so far they have not been able to give any proof of any wrong doing.
They talk big but think small.

I too would like to see INTELLIGENT debate of the issues without all the name calling and Lamar bashing.
