What I want to hear is WHAT they can do (including Lamar) and HOW they can do it.

This nice BS is killing me. I'm all for mom, God, and apple pie, but there is a lot more to the office of commish.

I wouldn't know about Lamar's "Buddies" and being a big shot. I'm sure it is true, but as far as I know, it's not against the law is it? I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. It seems like it is part of the job. Bottomline, it just doesn't matter to me or affect me.

Material stuff doesn't really impress me. If it was up to me, I would be happy living in a tent in the woods. That's my happy place. Then, reality hits. I can't have technology in the woods and Ms. Manape likes a nice warm home. I have traded simplicity for comfort, a quad core processor, 300 Gig hard drive, 4 megs of RAM, duel monitors with a 22 inch high def, and a day job, shortcircuit. Good night.

I doubt very seriously if Lamar knows how much RAM is in his computer. That's what separates the big shots from the insignificant little shots like me, shortcircuit. It is just a different world.

I joined this site to get information on the candidates but like local gossip dictates this is a Justin lover, Lamar hater site if you have an opposing opinion your not welcome.

I came in with a desire to know why you people feel the way you do about your candidate nothing more, nothing less. I stepped on no toes I stated my opinion as a registered voter not to represent my candidate but with assurance I felt he was the best man for the job, I can see differences of opinion are not welcome here by your candidate or yourselves.

Before I go I would like to point out the splost vote if I read your threads correct you were overwhelmingly opposed to the splost and you see where your opposition got you.

Manape you are correct about there being more to running the Commissioners office than being nice. However I feel to start with there needs to be some one that really cares about the people and there needs, so the decisions that are made will be for the good of the people, besides I feel that the Commissioner works for the people, not the people working for the Commissioner. In knowing every thing there is to know about running that office until whoever gets in there is no way to know it all, Mr. Paris did not know every thing when he went in. If you know the inner workings of that office I would like you to tell me because I need all of the help I can get. I could blow smoke or tickle your ear with things that I say by telling you that I will do this or I will do that but the truth is until whoever gets in there and finds out what they have to work with there is no way to know it all.
By the way Manape since material things don’t matter I sure could use that computer you have.
There is so much negativity on here it is like watching the evening news, it is good to hear some one say something nice every once in a while.
Also I would like to say again to Ghost Hunter thank you for openly supporting me.

Let me say this about negativity.

I'm just so excited, we need to move forward and continue to make great strides.
We can think of our children and what it means for their future. It makes me proud to be associated with such fine folks as the good citizens of Union County.
Moving forward into the twenty first century means so much, it is compelling, exciting and such a great thing.
I have realized that more and more people are awaking to the fact that the present commissioner of Union County is the embodiment of negativity!

I know it, I do. I know you have the good of the county in mind and want a commissioner who meets your standards of what a commissioner should be.

Thank you for looking into to me, rather than just writing me off. Reading all my past posts was very smart! Not many people would have thought of that.

I do not think this is a Lamar haters/ Justin lovers site. After all, I've got Bluemoon, Fullmoon, Manape, Omikkron, and Ghosthunter snapping at my heels. I look at it like Thomas Jefferson looked at Newspapers. If there is one that prints lies, don't shut it down, just start another one that tells the truth. And the same goes for this race. I could either have left the county as the Commissioner might have suggested, or I could take action.

Most voters are undecided at this early date. I applaud Gene's positive message and Tony's restraint. They have a tough primary battle ahead and may the best man win.

And manape, its a long time till the election, and I will keep rolling out detailed economic plans and strategies. I know you are eager to hear them and you shall in the future.
