Shortcircuit.
In the next election, I will vote for the candidate who comes closest to the profile I have outlined. I like it here and I would love to make a decent living in Union County.
Bebe Heiskell, the sole commissioner of Walker County, ran on the same platform. As far as I know, she is delivering on her promises.

To me it is a little strange to move here just to escape multi-commissioners. I moved back to the hills to escape Atlanta traffic.
Please debate multi-commissioners until the cows come home. As for me, I've been enjoying the warmer weather...I think I had rather work in the garden or watch grass grow. It is much more exciting.

OCGA 36-1-6... Now, I remember what you are talking about now from a previous thread. Sorry Sonny, I forgot. It is an old law from 1952.

Anyone have info. about barnes road and another community with another golf course that is supposedly to also have another liquor lisense being developed . Mr. Paris seems to have taken barnes rd. into county road system after county had already built the road . In other words ; Lamar built a road on private property with taxpayers money and then accepted the road . True or false ?

I thought all of U.S.A. including Georgia has a government run by the people and for the people . A sole county commission is no more than a dictator , and contrary to Cooper and Paris, no signs need be erected at county lines . Hope Paris and Cooper will be history before Union county is bankrupt .

The lack of information ; and the abundance of misinformation by Norman cooper and Lamar Parris has had a strangle hold on too many for too long . This web site can be a turning point that is long overdue . The peole of Union county deserve better .

Yea, I guess you do think the voters are just mindless zombies who obey Norman and Larmar's slightest commands. I don't really know Norman. He is just a news paper man. He has no hold on us. I like his humor.
As for Lamar, I have known him for a long time. His mother was a wonderful teacher. He come from a good family. Lamar's not perfect, but I don't think he broke any major law.
On beer and wine, as long as people do it in moderation, I don't see it as a problem. If someone wants to drink alcohol in a resort or the privacy of their own homes, just don't get on the roads and kill someone. Drink responsibly. Don't drink and drive. The life you save may be your own. So, there...
What really chaps my hide is all the people who get so bent out of shape about alcohol and ignore all the illegal drugs in our county. What are you doing to prevent illegal drugs in the county?

I like the golf course. I don't play, but my husband & daughter do. They enjoy that father/daughter time together and it's cheaper than Brasstown and more laid back. That news guy is a puff ball of smoke and threatens people not to talk, do, or walk when it's not to his liking or whoever's bottom he's kissing that week.

That is true. And I've never run across anyone before who liked Norm's humor besides him. When he tries to be funny, its cheesy and sad. Especially when he writes his poems.
