I would be able to bet that ole potato head (I understand thats what his first wife called him) was working on this resort way before the vote on the alcohol. My guess he had the vote so he would look good if it passed knowing what he was going to do in any case. Harold was turned out for concealing the walmart deal and this deal is a whole lot worse because it effects the morals of our citizens. An easy way to check is with a few requests for information. He knew what it meant to sign the agreement. Anybody check who is behind this project?

Fairplay:The alcohol lie is only one of hundreds of lies.Lamar Paris has put pressure on so many in Union co. causing some to move out of his county.I heard and believe Mr, Parris has caused one mans pet boxers to be put down because the man went against Mr. Parris wishes.

I would not doubt it one bit! I was having timber sawed to pay for my very high taxes and old potato head came up here and told the timber cutters that they had to leave because they were tearing up the road. The gravel road that should have been paved years ago! ha ha

OK, just a question, not a challenge.
On the post about Lamar and the various opinions of him, how many people have lived here a long time and how many are new to the area.
I have been here for over 30 years, I don't like the word native so I don't use it.
Lamar and I have had a run in, he basically, had the nerve to tell my husband that I lied about something, when I had dates and times and proof. Other than that we have had no issues.
Of course I don't go to town much and have nothing to do with the local politics.
Just a curious question.

Lamar's response to the latest bruhaha is typical. He wouldn't know the truth if it walked up and slapped him in the face.
As to his displeasure with Mr Boyer's proposed appointment to the election board: he hates Boyer for many reasons, mainly because Boyer constantly uncovers Lamar's penchant to play loosely with the truth. I know Mr. Boyer personally and his appointment to the board is much deserved.

I too know Mr. Boyer and have for a number of years. I have never heard Sonny Boyer lie or even tell a fib. He is a straight shooter; fair and honest. He wants government open; by the books and no secrets.He also would like to see a paper trail of votes so all votes could be accounted for . Is this asking too much?

To the anyone who may think they dislike Sonny Boyer:Ask yourself ; Do you really know the man? Are you judging him by hearsay? Did or have you read his wonderful article about The Church With Out Walls ?He is a good man.Please know him before being critical of him.

I wasn't critical of him, gadfly was posting rude stuff about the county government and doesn't seem to have anything nice to say. How wonderful the Repubs were and Mr. Boyer is.
I stated that if he is a reflection of the party and Mr. Boyer than he probably wouldn't get elected. The way gadfly post I get the impression he is on the inside with everything.
Kinda of a post and run.
I do not know Mr. Boyer but no man is perfect.
Why don't you tell me a little about him or where I can find more information about him.
