The wolves have come home to roost in the hen house and it's up to us to keep the fire to there feet. I plan to take my last eight years of tax bills to LP and ask him to show me how he has LOWERED my tax bills when in black in white they have gone up, just in keeping with his open door, open every thing policy.
There are many department that we need to make accountable for there budgets since we get to pay for them. Either you put up with it or you try to make a difference. Since I didn't vote for it, I'm choosing to make them accountable one person at a time. Want to join me??

Hello Short... doing fine still on the right side of the grave can't complain to much... beside nobody cares anyway. I'm going to keep on keeping on just to irritate the heck out of my republican buddies.
Geezzz I'm sure glad Bubba won't be posting his mumbo-jumbo facts and figures anymore, roundtree is probably holed up in his closet licking his wounds where's oscar... oscar... oscar you OK buddy? I was out the Blue Ridge Highway today on business and I drove down to the bridge to see the progress and not to my surprise it looks like the only thing that has been accomplished is removal of the bridge. I was also not surprised to see no one there working. I feel sorry for whoever built the new shopping center across from the church, it went from being full to being deserted in just a couple months time. I stopped by and spoke with two of the business owners in the area and they both told me that their business was really hurting due to the commissars poor planning. One of them told me that they had placed a small sign at the intersection at airport rd to point people to their business but the county had removed it. Sounds like king liemar at his best!

It sounds like you are troubled over that bridge, shortcircuit. Or is it a bridge over troubled water? I just had a flashback of when the Goatman used to camp near that bridge. The bridge will be build back, but the goatman is gone forever.

No apeman, it's not the bridge that I'm troubled about it's the people who have been negatively impacted by it. The people that your commissioner has forgotten about. I've never heard of this goat man, but then again I'm not in that neck of the woods very often.

Just trying to make conversation, short. I hate to see businesses suffer, too. It is hard enough for a business to make it even without the problems associated with a bridge being built. However, it is a big problem when bridges collapse. It is a big problem all over the U.S.A. He is the Commissioner of Union County and I don't own him, He was re-elected by The Republic of Union County to serve Union County. Are we going to have to put up with four more years of Commissioner bashing, or are we going to all work together for a better Union County? I think that is what the Republican Party needs to figure out. I'm sure that will make a lot of Republicans mad. I think it is a great party. I just wish someone could bring dignity back to the party. The Goatman was know throughout the South. The Goatman was a scruffy bearded man named Ches McCartney who walked around the South with his wagon, pulled by dozens of goats, from 1930 to 1968. He eventually became a folk legend to rival Johnny Appleseed. I guess that dates me.  |

Any warm bodies out there? Since the election is over, it is quite. I guess it has all been said. It is ashamed that we have to divide into one party, one camp, narrow views, or whatever. We are all Americans and when attacked, we ALL defend our great country, our freedom, and way of life.
I'm normally very tolerant of opinions that differ from my own. However, after posting on this forum I've reached the point that I cannot stand to hear any more right-wing garbage that implies one group is more patriotic than another. As a matter of fact, I find that very statement to be un-American. It is divisive, untrue, rude, and reflects the ignorance and immaturity of those doing the name calling. The truth is, if someone attacks our nation, almost every American, regardless of their political affiliations and beliefs, will unite against those who attach us.
So, why can't we agree to disagree with respect? I just want people to know who may come to this forum, I respect your opinions, beliefs, and your freedom to express them...I learn from all of you. That doesn't doesn't mean manape is changing his ways. I'm just saying it is your constitutional right to express yourself and I hope we can make Union County even greater. Let Independents, Republicans, and Democrats work together to form a more perfect Union.
