Saw Cook's ad in the weeks sorry paper.
A very good ad, very detailed and to the point.
No b.s.'ing like Paris does with his use of key words and innuendos.
Harold is straight with the people and straight with his ads; he pulls no punches and tells it like it is.
VOTE HAROLD COOK!

Just One More Time, Harold Cook. Recently, Harold Cook asked J.W. Payne how he got re-elected so many times. Well, you guess what the secret is. Doesn't Mr. Cook look more youthful? He kinda reminds me of Jack Benny. As a matter of fact, Cook reminds me of Benny when it comes to money. Cook went to Atlanta recently... A mugger accosted him and said "your money or your life?" When Benny (I mean Cook) didn't respond, the mugger repeated his question. After a long silence followed by a third demand for an answer, Cook replied, "I'm thinking, I'm thinking"...

Lawd have mercy, you have a bright future as a graphical artist. You forgot the mustache though.
If it was HIS money, Harold would say, "You can have it." He doesn't care about wealth.
If it was the TAXPAYER's money, he would choose death rather than see it misused.

The Union Muse Eat yer heart out Paris. I have hair and I am only 39 years old. But I promise I will not to take unfair advantage of you because of your age. Read my mustache Paris. I am not a crook. I am Cook. When I get elected ONE MORE TIME, I'm gonna eliminate all that waste in government and if those departments don't straighten up, I'm gonna whip their tails and tell em they gotta be fugal like me. And let me tell you something else old spud. You are doing some bad business. You claim it takes 4 million dollars extra to run government these days and you will have to cut services to save money. Son, I'm cooking up a plan to reduce all that waste that has been going for the last 7 PLUS years. No more GPS's on them little golf carts. I don't have any idea what a GPS is, but it sounds like waste to me. Besides, I think you need to come up with some new fangled invention to keep old golfers like you from getting lost on the golf course. Sorry, I digressed a little there. Now, where was I? Oh, yea... And I'm gonna balance that budget "without without having to cut funding or raising peoples taxes. It is my pledge that I will never cut any programs that benefit our children, senior citizens or emergency service programs. I believe these programs are vital to our county's future and should always remain fully funded." WWW.HAROLDCOOK08.COM So, watch out Paris. I have a secret weapon to reduce taxes and still keep all the services. If you don't believe it just ask my hair dresser, cause only my hair dresser knows for sure.

Liemar never doubted his victory that's why he didn't send out any mail outs or run full page ads for a change.
Liemar has definitely lost support though. Pitiful really. No way Harold should have gotten more than 33% of the vote. Now he's going to be encouraged to run again in 2012.

This is a Thank-You to Harold Cook for having the courage to try for change in Union County. Thank you to the over 4,000 people who voted for Harold, and those that can see the wrong that has been done to the Union County Citizens. Those that are only here for a short time, and chose to vote and leave as most of you do, I hope you get your just dues.
To Lee Knight, hang in there, one day I believe you will make it. Why people cannot see the corrupt ways of our government, I do not know.
One thing we can certainly be proud of: We did get two republican candidates elected. Allison and Alexander. I believe Allison will carry thru with his promises. We need a multi-commission, which has only been proposed by straw vote, from Harold Cook, and A CAP on property assessment. So lets get behind Allison.

Reed-what we need is a good attorney that will fight this sole commissioner thing and prove its unconstitutional. I am a believer that if it was ever challenged it would be changed. It would be expensive because old Liemore would take our own tax money and fight it in court. Maybe if the republican party, rather than throwing our money away giving it to candidates that can't win because of the polls being rigged, should work toward accumulating money over the next couple of years to hire an attorney to challenge it.

Maybe if the republican party, rather than throwing our money away giving it to candidates that can't win because of the polls being rigged, should work toward accumulating money over the next couple of years to hire an attorney to challenge it. What the supporters of multi-commissioners need is a good candidate. What the republican party needs to do is get a clear message to the people and let them make the decision, not throwing the law around. The last time I checked we still have a government by the people and for the people. The republican party needs to learn to obey the law themselves, instead of invoking the law of convenience. You need to make it clear what you mean by smaller government, a sound money policy, opportunity for all, and you need to persuade the people by reason, not the law. If multiple commissioners will give more power to the people, then go for it!!! Ronald Reagan promised to make federal government smaller – known as "New Federalism". Reagan believed that local governments knew what their community wanted more than Washington and he pushed for a development in the powers of local government. You need to hear the voice of the people. What the republican party needs to do is support its own beliefs as summarized in the "Republican Oath", below. If the republican party gets back to oath, the independents and those who don't vote strict party lines may elect you. I find nothing wrong with the republican beliefs, except you don't practice what you preach. The Republican Oath
"I believe that the proper function of government is to do for the people those things that have to be done but cannot be done, or cannot be done as well by individuals, and that the most effective government is government closest to the people. I believe that good government is based on the individual and that each person’s ability, dignity, freedom and responsibility must be honored and recognized. I believe that free enterprise and encouragement of individual initiative and incentive have given this nation an economic system second to none. I believe that sound money policy should be our goal. I believe in equal rights and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, age, sex or national origin. I believe that persons with disabilities should be afforded equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunities as well. I believe we must retain those principles worth retaining, yet always be receptive to new ideas with an outlook broad enough to accommodate thoughtful change and varying points of view. I believe that Americans value and should preserve their feeling of national strength and pride, and at the same time share with people everywhere a desire for peace and freedom and the extension of human rights throughout the world. Finally, I believe that the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government."

Bubblebutt, you didn't push my button. The republicans pushed the voters button. If you were so smart, you would have your dictator in control. Unless you know me, you have no idea if I am an idiot or not. I believe in the tenants/oath of the republican party. I have no bone to pick with you personally and I certainly can't determine if you are an idiot. Instead of working with people using logic and persuasion, you and the republicans try to intimidate us. Voters will not be intimidated. If you want multiple-dictators, then let's discuss the pros and cons. Let the people decide. You would be wasting your time hiring and paying an expensive lawyer. Multiple-Commission board is a voting issue, not a law issue.
