Now that things have slowed down, I might give Fatz's another try. Plus got me a couple of gift certificates there.
We tried the new Chinese buffet and grill. Really great choices, know the owners and they are good folks.
Got a medium rare steak from the grill to go with my veggies and it was good. A little thin but OK.
$33.48 for 3 people, 1 sweet tea and 2 waters. Averages $11.16 per person, not bad for a good meal with lot's of choices.

Our meal at Cobb's usually comes to $16.00 Had a framing crew call us last night, completely out of work. We gave them a small job to start today! The bldg. dept. said they have NOT issued 1 permit for a spec house so far this year.

Guy is suppose to come over and give us an estimate on rebuilding our front porch and extending it. I am thinking about making my craft building bigger.

I just need to finish all the projects I got started. I'm like 2/3's of the way finished with new siding and a new roof. We have been doing the inside while cold and will go back outside when it warms back up.

I am looking for a small kerosene heater, a big one would be too much.
The guy came and looked at our porch and I know why things have slowed down.
$1400.00. Now it's a small porch with a roof and we only wanted the floor replace and extended. No roof, no major building, probably 2 hours work.
Holy Crap batman $1400.00

Wow, that seems awfully high! The two guys that did my siding did some repair work on my deck, too and at what I thought was a very reasonable price... do you want their info? If they don't have any siding jobs, the might be doing that type of stuff. I was very pleased with what they did and their price.

Please do, I would like to have my porch fixed. I have plants sitting places where we don't want anyone to step.

Durn, bee, we gave away a nice kerosene heater at my garage sale with kerosene in it. I wish I had known, I would have given it to you. 2 hours work for $1400? That must be including the materials. We let our customers pay for the materials and just charge by the hour. Which by the way, we get $30 an hour and my husband is a licensed builder who is a perfectionist! (I say we, but I do all the books and pay all the bills too, so part of what we charge is to cover my time) I know I am worth $2 an hour!!!

Please do, I would like to have my porch fixed. I have plants sitting places where we don't want anyone to step. I have to look for their number... it is Scott Dyer and his dad, Russell. Hunny said they are in the middle of a pretty big remodel job ATM, but if they run out of their normal work, they may be up for a small job. When I get their number I will send it to you.
