Dieting is very hard for me. I can go several weeks and eat right but then I cheat one time and it's all over. I try to walk but lately I haven't had time. Now that the weather is cooler I need to start back doing it again.

I walk a lot and hike now. Hated exercising for the longest time. I eat a high protein, low carb diet now. It's been pretty easy, but this halloween candy looks SO good! Stay away!!!!

It's really hard to start with and if you slip it's ok.
That's the first thing you have to let yourself live with. Don't give it all up because of a dessert or a unhealthy meal. Just get right back on track. Let yourself have a treat everyonce in awhile, if you reward yourself it's ok. Start slow, don't jump into a radical diet right off the bat.
Start slow on exercise, if you burn yourself out you will give up. Walk with a friend. That makes you accountable to be where you are suppose to meet and the support is excellent. Discuss your ups and downs and support each other.
OK Not so nice discussion, but have to say it!!!!
Get some fiber capsules, cause once your diet changes so will your lower bowel habits. Walking, different foods, vitamins all will affect your "movements" and trust me you don't want them to bind up. Also fish oil is good.

YOU GO GIRL! I AM PROUD OF YOU I told you it would start in your clothes and I WAS RIGHT OF COURSE, HA HA
Another tip, I love my tea but I make me some unsweetened and use Splenda, it's helps with the tea, coffee or whatever.
Plus you just feel better. The extra weight affects your knees, your back and your over all feeling. You have more energy.
THAT'S WHAT I LIKE THE ENERGY And I sleep better at night. I seem to stay a little colder without the insulation, but the hot flashes make up for it .

See you set yourself a realistic goal. Most people fail becuase they set goals that are unreachable and then get discouraged. I have gone from a 14 to a 10. My goal was to just get healthy, firm up and be able to walk uphill withour breathing hard. I am not a 125-135 weight person, sorry. That's what the weight charts say I should be, but I am not. I have dieted to 125 and I was sick all the time, cold all the time and felt bad. You have to go with what's comfortable to you. And don't compare youeself to anyone. You are you, if you were suppose to be a model then God would have made you one. Besides most men like a full mature woman, not some little skinny thing. Shoot I had to turn down Vistoria's Secret for their angel show, I said "Now look a here, I just don't have time to parade around in my drawers on tv, besides ya'll don't make granny panties, so just stop calling me." It is so hard to be perfect.

Bee, you are so funny!
I am trying to walk more now that the weather is cooler, and "trying" to cut down on my portions.

There you go rose, baby steps. Next step is to start backing off of "white" foods.

Well, I walk on my treadmill every day. I am also trying to follow a low carb diet. I really miss my Hood's low carb chocolate milk. I use to have a small glass every morning.

Ain't it the truth. And all us southern girls were raised on biscuits, fried foods and sugar.
Just start slow. I lost my most weight when I made myself back off of gravy, potatoes and hot buttered bread.
I still indulge but my portions are smaller, because I don't have room for all of them anymore. I like soups and that's what gets me through my lunch, those Progresso Soups are excellent and some of them have the WW points on the label for those who are counting points.

I don't like gravy, but I love hot buttered bread. I try and eat just one piece at the restaurant. My husband eats none, that is why he has lost 35 pounds and kept it off.

My problem is I LOVE gravy, potatoes, and buttered bread.
You are "right on" about progresso soups. They are good!

I will have to try them. I make myself a cheeseburger pie once a week and eat one piece for lunch.
